I have a diferente model mine is Fagor but all systems works the same right? my question is how to know when the pump is down? my washer machine does not finish the washing cycle and does not empty the water, my guess is the pump after cleaning the filter . Thank you.

Is there another reason water will not drain out? Timer, relay, etc.. Ours has done this twice last week but is doing fine now. Seems it was intermittent so Is there a way to test a washer to make certain witch part failed before removing pump? Only about 2 1/2 yrs old. Spins great! Thank you for the video and all the help.

Hello, thank you for the video. I am having a problem getting the replacement pump onto the shaft. I have removed the old pump, and have the correct replacement pump. There is rust on the shaft, which I have lightly tried to sand down a bit, but it seems like it is shaped such that it is narrower at the tip and widens, making it hard to get the new pump on all the way to where the legs seat and the clips fit back on. Could the shaft have expanded due to the rust? Can you advise how best to deal with this issue? I don't want to damage anything, but was thinking that maybe I should file down the flat sides of the shaft until the replacement pump fits (or is that a bad idea?). Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

+Erich S Hello again. I cleaned off the rust with a file and wire brush, as it was quite rusted and corroded. And, ...it worked; I got the pump on. The pump seems to work very well now. However, now we smell a burning smell when running the wash cycle. It doesn't seem to be coming from the pump itself, but not entirely sure. It seems to me like it occurs mostly during the part of the wash cycle in which the water is emptying; not so much when it is agitating or spinning (though my wife thinks it happens throughout the cycle). Seems odd that this is occurring just after replacing the water pump, if the pump is not where the burning smell is coming from. The burning smell seems kind of like it's wafting up through the drum (not sure if that might indicate where it's coming from or not). We are worried that something may burn out or catch fire. Any ideas what might be happening? Could the replacement of the water pump be stressing some other part of the motor or transmission? Just coincidence? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

There will be a sticker or a tag on your appliance that will say model and serial number on it. Could be on the lid, under the lid, around the top, on the back. It will be on your washer, just look for the tag that has model and serial number on it.
