I have not been a huge washi tape fan, mainly because it is repositionable and does not adhere well. This is a great idea for faking that look. Love it a lot. Thanks, Lindsay!

This is the coolest technique ever!!!! I've not really gotten into the Washi tape trend, but "Faux Washi" is a completely different thing. I love it and can't wait to try it out, especially with some of my Holiday stamps!!!!!

this is by far the best fake washi I've seen! your awesome finishing touch of doing the shadows on the ends is truly genius!! here's hoping/betting we'll soon see a finished card with these washi strips! thanks a bunch!

what a great idea saves you money and gives you a chance to be more creative instead of just buying what is presented in the stores.

Well I gotta tell ya that for someone who cares nothing for washi I really liked the way this came out! This would look great on a crisp, white card....and I love the blues too. As usual, great tutorial!

Hi Lindsay,I watched your fab tutorial a couple of years ago and ❤️ loved it first time round.and had a lot of fun trying out your idea then. I have just been looking back through my 'watched' history and found this one again, so I am delighted because I had forgotten about it, so plan to have another playlater today. THANK YOU sooooo much for making your channel such a lovely, fun and inspiring place to visit. It is like popping round to visit and craft with a friend even though you live across the pond from me in France. Hope the sun is shinning and you have a great day.Warmest best wishes, Susanne AKA Luvcreatincards

Great ideas for washi tape. Never thought it would be so easy. I didn't know where you were going until you started stamping. I thought you were cutting out the washi tape. But you used the negative space as a stencil. Thank you.
@deskjockie49489 жыл бұрын
These are some of the prettiest washi tape 'fakes' I've seen, Lindsay! You knocked it out of the park this time. I think it's the dusting with a softer color that makes the difference. Of course, having a gazillion different patterned stamps to use helps, too, lol! TFS!

Excellent idea to repurpose stamps and great for those of us without a washi hoard.

Another fantastic idea, but what I got most from this video is that I should really consider using color dusters, like you've featured so often in your videos. Maybe I'll see some at Goodwill. :)

Love this!!! You just saved me from giving in and buying washi tape!!! What I love abou this is it can be done directly on projects or cut out and adhered to a project. I bet we can also use your method on paper tape or masking tape too. Stay warm up there in Maine :-)

Love this idea. Another way to use my stamps, and to make unique washi tape! Thank you 😊
@kcastillo031910 жыл бұрын
I really love this idea. Something I think I might try - you inspired me - would be to tear the edge of a piece of masking material or post-it for the torn edge; then mask the long edges with post-its or masking or painter's tape. Torn piece placed for the edge and the two clean pieces aligned at whatever width is needed, and then stamp and stipple inside, just as you are doing with your template. Love your creativity!! Thanks.

Connie, That is exactly what I was thinking!!!!! Particularly using the wood-backed rubber stamps we order, only to find the image is too small to "stand alone" on a card.
