I have a whirlpool cabrio with intermittent drain pump operation, and I was suspecting a relay points issue, but it could be the pump sometimes jamming. There's a humming noise when the pump should be powered. I guess that is more likely to be coming from the pump motor than the relay coil.

I have the same problem with my Bosch washer. Its a newer one 9 years I think. I am gonna put a new pump on after seeing this. I bought a miele octoplus when it stared makeing trouble. Thanks 😃 for good videos.

Thanks buddy, almost all washing machines have a similar pump, except miele. Easy swop to do, I have posted it in another recent video of mine.

Cool, let me know how it goes. If it is broken in the same way.

Good vid, thanks. You're the first person online who indicates intermittent fault. My Samsung washer dryer has no blockages yet won't always drain, meaning I drain manually. I swapped the circulation pump and drain pump (same part) to test it and the fault remains. It seems odd both pumps would fail. I'm tempted to get new pumps but concerned if it's something else. What are you thoughts please? Thank you

Check that the connections aren't corroded and look at the control board for loose solder joints. but ask yourself if it is worth it ?

Just to update...I replaced the circulation pump and drain pump. It now works. Inspecting the old pumps against the new pumps revealed the old pumps had lost a lot of their resistance. Thanks for the vid and help
