I really appreciate that Chris. One thing I LOVE about working in my garage, is how "clean" I am able to keep my workspace as I move through the various steps of the process. That really makes me feel good. Things can get a little "messy" at times, but I am always striving to move through the stages while putting things away and keeping my workspace as clean and organized as I can. It slows me down, but I am not a pro so I am able to take my time and do it my way. I hope to shake your hand one day as well. 🤘

Highly enjoyable to watch, just as always... I've had an almost similiar car. Q5 8R in quarzgrey, offroad-trim-package. Pretty identical to this Allroad. The colour is pretty easy to keep clean. Same goes for the trim. A few tipps maybe... 1. Get some wire wool / steel wool, grade 000. It makes exhaust tip cleaning so much easier without damaging the surface. 2. When drying, fold the mirrors in the opposite direction. That way most of the water will run out by itself and won't ruin the finish when driving 3. Not sure about the tip you're using on your pressure washer pistole. The angle seems a bit wide, thus not delivering much force to the paint surface. Maybe useful for a quick rinse after washing, but it seems to lack quite a bit of punch when you pre-rinsed the wheels... Thx for the content, dude.
@RADGarage3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the helpful feedback. I blow the mirrors out with the master blaster but otherwise turning the mirrors up is a great tip. The driver’s side front wheel had a coating of grease on some of the spokes. That’s why the pressure washer seemed ineffective in that one shot. I can assure you the AR630TSS pressure washer is plenty powerful even with the 40-040 nozzle tip. LI didn’t use steel wool on the tips because the stainless steel coating on the edges is somewhat compromised and I didn’t want to add to the degradation. Thanks again. 🙏

Yup, the MJJC worked wonderfully. Yeah, it was a real blast from the past seeing the turtle logo on the products I was using for this one. I had to include some vintage ads just to bring that retro feel to the video. End of the week, I am exhausted. I check new videos and... yeah my buddy Rick posted a new video ! A nice car, very relaxing soundtrack and my favourite reverse bubble effect 🤣🤣🤣 ! So relaxing content Rick thanks for that. Do you mind giving me the dilution ratio you are using for snow foam ans also for Wash & Wax shampoo ? My bro tried it but faced some streaking issues and I believe it was due to bad dilution. It also seems to be more effective when used with warm water. Looking forward to getting your feedbcack about it. Always such a pleasure to see you in action. Take care bud and stay RAD 😎😎😎 ! Greg
@RADGarage3 жыл бұрын
Gregg, for foam I suavely use 900ml water to 100ml foam. I don't always measure precisely but that' the general ratio I use. With that Wash & Wax, I filled a 5 gallon bucket and dumped what I thought was a decent amount of product in. But, it was very "watery" so I dumped in way more. I believe the label directed the user to use 1-gallon of water, but that just doesn't work for me. I like using a large bucket when washing. So, I think I may have messed that part of the process up a little. I didn't notice any streaking on the car, but I found the bucket mixture runny and not as "soapy" as I am used to. I did use warm water since I have both hot and cold water in the garage. Next time I give it a shot, I am going to stick to the directions better and see how it goes.

just in time for the long weekend!! great vid Rick!! p.s its got some great tires on it ;-)
@RADGarage3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, those are great tires for sure. The owner uses some sort of tire dressing that was tricky to remove. I didn't show this in the video, but I actually had to apply some chemical degreaser to a towel to remove some of the remaining dressing residue. I need to hook him up with a better tire dressing.

Thank you for the video! I’ve been watching you for a long time, I hate to ask but could you tell me what Ricks Audi Double signifies please?
@RADGarage3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your continued support! When I initially shared photos of my garage on the Internet, I started a "build thread' on the garage journal.com website. The title of that thread was "Rick's Audi Double" because I had an Audi themed double garage. That later got shortened to RAD Garage. Not much of an exciting story, but that's how it happened.

@@Carlos.Rivera I second the motion things amazing for users with entry level pressure washers. Made P&S. Pearl foam up like a mid range soap with some clinging power one of the runniest soaps I’ve experienced before this date.

MJJC definitely adds another viable option to those seeking a quality foam cannon. It's almost a shame I'm giving this one away, but I already have two foam cannons and the other one just sits there gathering dust.

Finally got through it! What a great video! That thing was sooo glossy. How'd you like working with the TW products??
@RADGarage3 жыл бұрын
I'm always hesitant to comment on a product's performance after my initial use. I'm never quite certain I am using it properly. That said, that Wash & Wax was a departure from my usual type of wash soap. It didn't lather nearly as much as the shampoos I am used to, but I think that is by design. Rinsing panel by panel was a bit of a pain, but it did seem to leave the paint with a layer of slickness. I loved the 3-in-1 detailer. It was the perfect product for the jambs and sills. I liked how it had some bite to it, but also finished very smooth. The Ceramic Spray Detailer was more "pastey" than I anticipated, but I got used to it as things progress. Using one towel to apply and a second towel to buff off was definitely the way to go and there is no denying that car left my garage looking amazing. In the end, that's all that mattes. See you tonight on the livestream buddy!

Rick, I gotta ask? Have you done any training on video editing and videography. Cause your videos are so well put together and it’s one of the many reasons why I enjoy your channel so much. Great work all around. Till the next one. P.S. I hope your friend/neighbour realizes how lucky he is to have you as a friend and neighbour. 😂😂👍🏻

Thanks Wayne. I have been into videos for a few years now, and I have just learned on my own. At some point, I would LOVE to take a class, but until then I just try to push myself as much as I can to try new techniques. One area I am particular weak, is using the various settings on my camera. I need to become more adept at getting the most out of my A/V equipment. AS for my neighbour, he's a stand up dude who has helped me out in lots of ways. It's nice to be able to back him back by spoiling his car.
