Rick, beginner question, again. At 6:16 you appear to be drying or wiping down the wheels and tires. If so, why, if you’re still in the sequence of following up with a Foam Pre-Wash, and Contact wash? Excellent video production.
@RADGarage3 жыл бұрын
💯 legit question, Luke. I find with black wheels, they can deceive you. The second they become wet, they look clean to the naked eye. As I go through my process, I am nervous that I may have missed some spots, so I like to dry them down at the end, just to ensure I haven't missed anything. Plus, it was about six hours before I got around to the actual foam pre-wash, and I just don't like leaving things wet. I hope that answers your question. Thanks.

Thanks so much Ken. This video was a lot of work, but it turned out just better than I imagined. I will have to offer some more give-away decals at Carzilla at some point this summer. I'm so glad to see so many people using the code, but I can't keep up with the demand!

Really nice job Rick! Well done! 🤙. It’s interesting that all cars are built the same way these days. Evident from the Jams. Btw, the weather has been really strange so far this spring. Most of the airmass coming from the North, leaving a layer of red/yellow dust on the cars. I detailed my SQ5 last Sunday and within 12 hours it was covered.

Yeah, I didn't notice any quirks with the engineering of this Focus. I do get a real appreciation for the design and engineering work that goes into cars when you spend that much consecutive time with them. I really like the tail lamps and subtle body creases of this car. The cherry on top for me is that hatch spoiler. So cool. Sorry to hear about your dust issue. We will have pollen season here real soon and fluff from the trees to deal with. Never seem to get a break!

@RADGarage3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, the orange peel is apparent but I just work with what I’m given. At this point, the owner is rocking the slickest RS in town so everyone’s happy!

What was the sponge / product you used on the tips? Looked perfect for stainless steel
@RADGarage3 жыл бұрын
So, I cut up an Adam's Scrubbing Mitt and I use that to start. Then, I use the sponge that comes with the P21S Polishing Soap kit. Then, I finish up with a fine steel wool to get any leftover soot off the tips. Thanks for watching and for your question.

Hey Rick. Another awesome short movie. Gold logie for this one. How do you do it.? Your videography just gets better and better with each video. Love the music. Thanks heaps for your hard work and creating these award winning productions.

I am very fortunate to have cooperating music producers that keep putting out the EXACT type of music that I am looking for. I try so hard to keep improving my video techniques and I enjoy the challenge. There is something sooo satisfying when I sit back in the video editing phase and see an idea actually work out like I was hoping. Thanks for taking time to recognize my efforts. It is truly appreciated. It would be so much easier for me to just set up a series of static tripods, but I just find the moving footage so much more engaging and artistic.
