No need to adjust your monitor! Yes, I completed a detailing project on a domestic car. This was a bit of a marathon project but the 18+ hours I invested paid off handsomely. This car is very well kept and very much loved, but it required a thorough refresh since it is a winter daily driver. I took this car through my entire process including polish, ceramic coating and black trim reconditioning. It was a lot of work but I am highly satisfied with the results. Excellent detail and video Rick. That's a rarely seen color on that Focus RS. Usually you only see the more common blue and then occasionally silver. I don't think I have ever seen a red one. What a beautiful video about such an amazing project! Just goes to show that you do not need a crazy looking car to have pleasure detailing (not saying this rs isn't very cool by the way). Yeah, once people attempt their own detailing video, they get a taste of how much work it can add up to. What makes matters worse is, I find I hold myself to higher standards on each new project so the time just gets eaten away even more. But, sitting down at the computer and rendering the final cut of the video is something that STILL brings me immense joy and satisfaction.

Really nice job Rick! Well done! 🤙. It’s interesting that all cars are built the same way these days. Evident from the Jams. Btw, the weather has been really strange so far this spring. Most of the airmass coming from the North, leaving a layer of red/yellow dust on the cars. I detailed my SQ5 last Sunday and within 12 hours it was covered.

Yeah, I didn't notice any quirks with the engineering of this Focus. I do get a real appreciation for the design and engineering work that goes into cars when you spend that much consecutive time with them. I really like the tail lamps and subtle body creases of this car. The cherry on top for me is that hatch spoiler. So cool. Sorry to hear about your dust issue. We will have pollen season here real soon and fluff from the trees to deal with. Never seem to get a break!

Yeah, the orange peel is apparent but I just work with what I’m given. At this point, the owner is rocking the slickest RS in town so everyone’s happy!

@@RADGarage indeed somethings are just the way they are ;) and it looks amazing off course . It is just a oem quirck :p i preffer have a bit orange peal and durability than a fully wet sanded and polished one. Great work Rick amazing as always love the 40min format ehehe
