I grew up surrounded by the Appalachian mountains so when we went to visit my brother, his wife, and my niece who live in Norton Kansas last year I was amazed at how open and beautiful the plains were. I'm used to having mountains around me, so all that open landscape was a bit intimidating but I can understand why my brother and his family love it out there. Fun fact, we flew to Denver and drove the rest of the way to my brother's house in Norton, so seeing this video going in reverse on I-70 was a pleasant memory for me. Love your videos of the drive across our beautiful country and can't wait to see more!

According to YT's stats, every moment of this video has had at least a 4% viewership - meaning 4% of the total views (4% of 334k is about 13k views). Of course that doesn't mean that those views were complete video views, and the average duration has generally been between 6-12 minutes per view.

WOW what a great video!! took me a while to watch (had to keep stopping to look at the sign's etc.) loved it!! you are so lucky to live in the USA i mean a road trip here is a REAL road trip!!! I can get from one end of the UK to the other in just under a day :( Since i will never get to the USA it's really nice to see it this way, things i found out. A. Lorry's are really big B. the road are mostly 2 lanes C. The drive was fantastic D. The roads are not at all busy expect in the the towns and City's E. I am jealous lol

I live in the US, and think how sad it is that some people can't enjoy this great country. Mostly for the lack of a plane ticket to get over here. Think if there were some way to just come stay with someone for a week or two, get shown around, and then fly home again. It would minimize travel costs, and be interesting for both parties, I'd think. Then the two parties could reciprocate, and the other could see the OTHER country in the same way. I'm going to google the concept. Kind of like a short-term "Exchange-student" program for adults. By the way, Lorry's (Lorries?) here are called trucks, and the big ones you see are just called "Semi's" (or 18 wheelers). Now you know. :-)

Colorado is always the funnest state to drive through. The flat area of the state is painfully boring, but it’s so awesome when you can start seeing mountains very very far away and then slowly move closer to it, and once your driving through the mountains it’s just a blast.
@unclecoolie

I agree. I was also enjoying the constant rise in elevation before ever even seeing the Rockies.
