Washington Today (9-24-24): President Biden gives final address as president to UN General Assembly

President Joe Biden gives his final speech to the United Nations General Assembly as president. He remarked on the "remarkable sweep of history" he has witnessed in 50 years in public service. And on the wars in the Middle East and Ukraine, he said, "Even from the horrors of war, there's a way forward. Things can get better. We should never forget that."
The House Foreign Affairs Committee votes to hold Secretary of State Anthony Blinken in contempt of Congress for not complying with a subpoena to testify in the committee's investigation of the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan.
