I moved away from my home country when I was really young and because of that I’ve always had a really hard time feeling completely at “home.” Even a decade later I miss the way things were. I miss the people. The places. The sights, smells, and sounds. I miss what could’ve been and ponder on what is. So as I listen to this song in the room that my mom grew up in inside my grandmothers house, as I visit for the summer, I’m reminded of the journey that got me here, and to my immense surprise… I’m grateful for it. just commented on one of the shorts but, this song at its core reminds me of how i acted around my first boyfriend, my first everything, my first love before we broke up i won't bore the comments w the details but, "i can't save him from the fire, but i'm cold" just encapsulates sacrificing a lot for your s/o, despite losing a bit of yourself in the process. there are some things i wish i could change looking back, but i don't regret it, the same way this ballad cherishes the fleeting moments of a love so strong it felt like home :") anyway!! i love isotope
