And this is what most people forget. There's sod all profit in bike racing for those actually running teams, most times it's just wealthy enthusiasts piling their own money in for the fun. And without them we'd have no sport. We all owe these guys - and gals, like Faye Ho - a beer.

Hearing that RS fire up did something to my nervous system. All senses on overload. Experienced motorcyclists look at me as if I'm from another planet when I say a 250 2-stroke is the pinnacle. But it is.

Yeah, no experience with race bikes, but my RGV250P was the best bike I've owed/riden. Shouldn't of sold it, but like the owner before sold because of child on way. Rode RD's and Rg(s)'s all types/sizes(not 50/80) other than the rear straight. Now been priced out of the 2 stroke market. Had to get a lardie CBR600RR 08.

I love the older bikes and especially the two strokes. At my age it was originally four strokes. Then came the big two stroke era. Back to the four stroke. And now the era of too many electronics, like anything mechanical. Not really interested in the modern stuff. What is the point of building a bike that can't be ridden by a human without a computer. Power to weight ratio on the two strokes totally changed racing. Listening to the start of a GP grid was awesome. Takes me back to better days.

Nice video Lee 😁 What year is that RS250? My first RS250 was a 1985 with a single disk, for its day is was miles ahead of the TZ's. My second RS250 was a 1987, very trick with a cassette gear box but it had a bad tendency to blow up and experience braking issues 😳 With all the problems American Honda was awesome with support even supplying a complete upgraded 1988 engine that my tuner did his magic making it a rocket that nobody could ever pass me on the straights 🚀😉
