Don’t forget when he showed up to Brooklyn and said “We need a few more pieces to win a chip” when you didn’t even play with the team you had. And the infamous “Im finally playing with a guy who can hit that shot too” disrespecting your “brother” LeBron

The problem with Kyrie is that he fails to recognize the path of destruction he leaves in his wake. He doesn’t understand that when you invite that kind of energy into your life so frequently, you don’t get to just parade around playing innocent like everyone’s getting on your case for minding your own business. It’s not that he’s a horrible human being. I think he’s actually extremely sensitive and feels a lot. But he’s still utterly incapable of accepting any true responsibility for absolutely anything.

@yasoru
@yasoru 2 жыл бұрын
I agree that Kyrie's sensitive and that's why what the stuff about the media bothers him so much, otherwise he wouldn't be responding the way that he's been. His problem is the dude's got a superiority complex. Proven by how he refers to people of the general masses as peons and the media personnel covering him as puppets. And you only really get superiority complex if you have a deep insecurity about feeling inferior or 'not good enough'. So when he's criticized like this, it's his instinct to deflect and avoid blame otherwise it reinforces his idea about being inferior.

It’s not race narratives when it comes to Kyrie if you healthy folks just tryna see him play. Dissed Bron & Ty Lue in Cleveland, dissed Brad Stevens after he left Boston, asked for Harden with KD & then the relationship got ruined. My biggest takeaway from Kyries and Stephen As feud is the shift of the perception towards the workforce within generations. Stephen A believes- if you are getting paid good money to do your job you better show up because you have teammates, fans, and a whole organization relying on you. You signed up for this so unless you’re injured you better show up. Kyrie believes- that is slave mentality; just because I’m getting paid to do my job doesn’t mean I have to forget about what I believe in and not put me and my families well being first. He believes Stephen A is a puppet because Stephen A will do whatever for ESPN. Kyrie believes Stephen A is puppet because Stephen A voice holds weight because ESPN says so. Stephen A will continue to be the personality he is because it generates revenue for ESPN, but as soon as he says something that jeopardizes ESPNs business (even if its something he believes or something for HIS well being) he would get cut off just like anyone else. Kyrie could probably do a better job making his message more clear and not be as cryptic in the things in he says/post, so his fans can get behind him more but thats not my place to judge. Stephen As philosophy is do whatever it takes to protect your job/money because that is what got you to this point of success (This is the 2000 gen job is a privilege mentality ) Kyrie’s philosophy is do whatever you feel is going protect your well being even if it may jeopardize your pay in the future or how your boss views you. (New generation “job is slavery mentality") I understand both point of views but the main thing from all this is that we are witnessing two different generational mentalities bumping heads. Underneath all of this we can relate thats why its hard to disagree with everything both sides are saying.

I believe Kyrie is very committed to the game of Basketball. No one becomes that good of a player and yet be characterized as someone who does not want to work. Secondly the only time where I’d say criticism is valid in terms of his absence is those two weeks he took off without telling anybody because you can’t take time off and not say anything. Even the time he took off due to the riots and the a Breonna Taylor verdict (which often gets left out) I can understand the criticism. Now think about that. 2 incidents at best in an 12 year career is worth this clown screaming everyday about a Kyrie and makes people like you reach the conclusion “he always wants an excuse not to play”. Nah, he specializes in making controversy, usually ended up in ruining the chemistry & locker room. Not necessarily a franchise, its up to FO to mitigate or worsen it to that point. The one who specializes in ruining (or in this case, depleting) a franchise is LBJ. He comes, he trades asset & future, he win (because all the help from those "win now" trades), he leaves to suck another asset from another franchise. Doing this he won multiple times to add to his personal accolades, but develop 0 teams. Practically ruining it for years to come.

SAS definitely made a lot of valid points here. We can say all we want about Kyrie and his behavior, but there is an important question that needs to be asked. How does he keep getting away with it? SAS pointed out that this has been going on for years. Why hasn't his teams or the league taken action? The only thing I can think of is because his contract allows him to do so. If his contract says that he gets his money even if he intentionally misses games, then he can just keep doing this for as long as he likes. We can try to make him accountable with words, but there is nothing that will legally force him to comply. With that said, I do hope that moving forward, the league can find a way address this availability issue while still being fair to players who really need time off for medical or mental health issues.

Steven A is being too kind. Kyrie is not one the greatest talents the game has ever seen. In 11 years in the league he’s never received a single vote for MVP. He might have some of the best handles ever, but that doesn’t make him one of the greatest players ever.
@Jacksel01
@Jacksel01 2 жыл бұрын
Kyrie has never received MVP votes for 2 main reasons..ONe is he does not play enough games to be considered but more importantly, the same media that Kyries calls pawns are the ones voting for the award. His talent is enough to get votes but nobody in the media likes the guy.

@@Jacksel01 kyrie's "talent" is not more than enough to get voted mvp. It's the WHOLE package that nets you MVP and outside of that championship run hes had with Bron the man has done nothing to warrant his name even being uttered in any mvp discussion.

The funny thing is people have always said SAS is a puppet. But the hate for Kyrie has people agreeing with him. Media doing exactly what Kyrie criticized, controlling and shaping the narrative.

Aaron didn't lie to his team or let it affect the team in any way. Everyone in the Packers org knew he was unvaxed: and he follow protocols. He just misled the media to believe that he was vax.
