I feel bad from memories of seeing 86-87 W.A.S.P. when Slayer opened for them. Most of the people in that venue wanted Slayer, maaaybe 20% of us were there for both. Probably fewer than 10% were for WASP only. The people pelted Blackie primarily but the entire band. I have no memory of if they were even able to finish the show. I barely recall who opened for Slayer and maybe another band opened for them. I'd judged Blackie harshly after stories broke years ago. Heck, I all but stopped listening to metal and heavy punk by....well, saw stuff and bought albums in 91 and sporadically since then but I'd pulled out of a spiral by 89, or started to by listening to other types of music as my main go to. I'd also initially used LSD as a way to connect a bit with my more youthful spiritual upbringing before I steered it into a crazy life of pleasure. I mostly avoided hard substances and mostly quit drinking, but after an accident, the previous took control totally for a time just to not be bed ridden at first. Got mostly clean outside of mostly following doctor directions. I had written off most of my former "metal heroes" as lost causes and many died lost. I came across this song and his story about it earlier this year. I've felt guilty about figuratively spitting in his face and never missing a chance to remind or teach others about what had happened on that stage. If it set things in motion so he might get right, then it wasn't so bad. I've prayed that this isn't/wasn't another Rock n Roll twisted-half-truth tale, only God, Christ, the Holy Spirit fully knows. Sometimes we need to wander far before we realize that we weren't ever totally right to begin with. I do hope that this song, and maybe abandoning certain older songs, might help others straighten their lives out before it is Time's Up. Thank you, Blackie (I can't remember what his birth name was, at the moment). Thank you, Jesus for your gift. There are far more lost, doomed souls than there will ever be that go the other direction and God is not to blame for our decisions. It is overwhelming when I think, especially when I first got clean, about literally the countless messages that I missed to stop. I can't count the friends and some blood relations and even acquaintances that accidentally OD'd, unintentionally killed in wrecks, or intentionally ended their lives. I find it sad, not because I am convinced that suicide automatically dooms you to hell, but that knowing where they were in life, they probably never repented of sins. Even a friend had decided to hang himself, I'm not sure what was going on as he was closer to other friends, but he was found trying to get his feet back on the ladder. I don't know if he regretted his actions, was thinking it would be a cry for help, or if the pain was too much but he couldn't reverse that leap. Don't neglect reading the Bible, folks. Sorry if this was under someone's comment instead of a stand-alone topic. This song is indeed powerful, I pray that it is a wake-up to those who've fallen away or never knew. Immoral sex, drugs, and music sure are 3 strong temptresses brought to us by fallen angels. Hell is not a party and Satan hates you no matter your beliefs. He's a liar and a murderer and is powerless against Christ. I hope that I didn't misdirect too many people down the wrong path when I was younger. I know I helped supply delusions, "sorcery"(Pharma_____(?)), and even some deadly implements to the wrong people. I've saved some lives, but it's their souls that are most important to get saved. I'm still not perfect, and in a moment, I could begin falling into that realm again. I pray to God not to. The last time that I'd gotten very twisted from stimulants, I ended up praying prostrated on the ground, swore not again. Definitely not like that. A medication can be legit, but strong powders and crystals can often be a curse if no health condition exists but heavy uncontrolled consumption isn't really medicinal or proper.

I can't get enough of this song.A true revelation and a wake up call for the lost. Beautifully done video. Did i see the Pillars of the Earth somewhere in the baxkground passed the 5-minute mark? Song-wise or otherwise, if these lyrics dont touch your soul, then you are a cold-hearted bastard. The shot at the end resembling the sky and the universe as the way to heaven is just bliss as is this entire song. I grew up in a very demonic cult style household and I was tormented by demons every single day. I know what it feels like to be completely at the end of yourself and you know you need a savior or die.. there is no other option. I was sat listening to my new Wasp albumn in the sunshine 37 years ago not realising what the sun could do to vinyl! I was only 16 but after a few hours it melted and that was the last time I listened to Wasp until now, 37 yers later. Still as good!
