Sitting here after collarbone mecanno surgery very pleased to see another free range episode pop up. Love the “spade bit” correction (we laid it on a bit thick last episode) and the unintentional “it will become clear” as you help the clear Perspex... Love the Engel refurb and the water maker galley mod is awesome. Well done guys. Take the time you need to get back to the water...we can wait...these vids are really interesting. Keep it up.

Mirrool is looking great, you have been very busy ! It was a good idea to rent a little house so you could tackle the whole boat at once, it has allowed you to do so much in a relatively short time which would have never been possible while living on board. I love some of the clever uses of space and that drop board idea is inspired. If you rub a candle lightly along the parts that slide in the tracks it will stop them sticking so much and protect the varnish a little too. Always a pleasure to see another update video from you guys, keep them coming !

That plastic pocket idea is very timely for us. We have some wasted space nearby the rudder position switch paraphernalia and the hydraulic ram for our steering system where loose items are strictly forbidden under the aft berth. With some of those pockets we might utilize that space without any danger of items getting into the works and fouling the steering of the boat.

@rogerstone30684 жыл бұрын
My daughter is a sculptor, working in copper and braze using an oxy-propane torch. (See www.CopperCreatures.com if you're interested.) Her heavy work sweaters last for a year or so, but when each one finally becomes more hole than sweater, and it has to go - it is quite an emotional moment. Fully sympathise, and I'm grateful Pascal saw fit to give it a mention. And what documentary TV producer would have considered that to be worth including?

For sheets, we use twin fitted on the bottom and a king flat top sheet. We find this most practical as we then have easy access to the bins under our v- birth individually under each side without needing to redo the fitted sheets each time. Sheet clips under the foot of the bed help gather up the extra sheet material so they stay fitted. Love your work. Thanks for sharing your ideas!

I've had good luck using straight lanolin to prevent rust on the bottom of stoves and fridges. Just a quick swipe with a rag doesn't take much. My theory is straight lanolin is probably less toxic to humans than all the fancy high tech rust prevention coatings, and it's the active ingredient in lanicoat, one of the favorite stainless rigging rust preventatives in my country.

Mirrool is looking amazing and you two have givin me so many good ideas. You do realize that youve made the Value of Mirrool go up concideralbly. All you need to do now is give Mirrool a Teak Deck. You dont have to use metal fasteners to get that look. ... all you have to do is apoxy the deck on and seal it and your little boat will be worth 65k + in US curency. Right now with all the work youve done. Id say your probably looking at a value of 38k - 40ish range. You took a boat that was worth 6 - 20k and really made her stand out. All your missing is a good solid Teak deck and ... wow! .... ⛵💕🌹❤🌹
