This guy is super humble. Love his guitar tone on his newest album. We play reach for the sky in my cover band and it's one of my favorites so fun to play with absolutely killer riffs. Firehouse is iconic in my mind and don't get the credit they deserve.

I was lucky enough to meet Firehouse and drive them to and from airport, venues, hotels, etc. as a favor to a friend. I was a Huge fan so jumped at the chance even though I was managing other groups at the time. I did this for free. I even got to go out to dinner with them. They were all great guys and all very down to earth and extremely talented. I must say, they were the most serious band I ever saw for sound check. They took their time and truly cared. Not that other bands didn’t, but these guys were on a different level on this area! They sounded amazing live! Bill gave me his Wanderlust album and signed to me. I really appreciated that!

I think about 2 years ago, and Big flats New York, I was about 6 ft away from bill for his full show with Firehouse. I had never seen Firehouse before, and only knew about the radio hits. Let me tell you what. He is a phenomenal guitar player! He is next level good! And their drummer was hitting the skins so hard and with so much feeling it was insane! They know how to put on a show!

When I was 17 I saw Firehouse at an outdoor venue. I didn't know much about them, but oh man, I was an instant fan when Bill hit the opening riff of "Overnight Sensation" on his Yamaha Pacifica. That song always takes me back.

Saw and met Bill after a blood sweat and beers tour stop in Las Cruces NM in fall of 1991. Such a great guy and took the time to talk to all of us fans after the show about guitars and college. One of the best shows I've ever seen too! " Home is where the heart is" is one of my favorite songs of all time! Keep rocking Bill!

One of my all time favorite Guitarists.. Love this dudes playing. And always seems like just a great down to earth guy..and honestly even back in those days.. I loved all the non radio firehouse songs I think more than the radio songs. I mean they're all great.. but I play guitar so songs like: Seasons of Change, Overnight Sensation, Shake & Tumble, Oughtta be a law, helpless etc..Same thing w/ Hold your fire and the others as well. And that solo to Reach for the Sky is so great.

Josh, I asked CJ Snare at a firehouse meet and greet about 5 years ago, if the band has any plans for new music. He said no. Bummer hearing that. They at the time we’re doing the package deals for fans, where you and your spouse could get on stage, while firehouse would sing your favorite ballad you got married to. Was cool to see, but they’ve been doing that for several years. I definitely want a new album

First of all they got showed up really late in glam metal scene. By the time 1992 there's nothing much left for every glam metal bands as the record companies shelved the rest of them and went after the Seatle sound. Firehouse basically just tried so hard to hold on in this industry with more power ballad in their 2nd & 3rd albums. I just glad they put some work on their first 3 albums, that shows how versatile the band and Bill himself was.

Once upon a time many many geez many years ago, I saw Firehouse (FH) at a multiband-billed show. Bill was incredible! Very skilled, great meter (no small feat with a drummer who was clearly struggling), technical yet smooth and so tasty! Far better musician/guitarist than any FH video would allow. I was stunned as FH is not my thing (clearly, I'm in the minority and both FH and I are fine with that, ha!). I left that show a Leverty fan. Anytime FH comes up, I immediately think about that experience - cheers!

I've seen many live shows over the years, lots of those being traditional heavy metal bands from one end of the spectrum to the other. The thing about Firehouse is that their live show is much heavier than just the hits from the radio, it's that way with many bands except Slayer which are pretty much heavy all the time..

It was such a CORPORATE, formulaic era in rock music. It almost feels like bands like Firehouse were created in boardrooms. Release a hard rock song, then release a sappy ballad to bring in the women. Rinse and repeat, do it again on the next album. More power to them I suppose. But it was these situations that gave rise to grunge and more genuine types of rock music.

It is funny you mentioned about you get paid to sit in airports not to play music. I live outside Tucson, AZ but I work up on the North Slope of Alaska, but my job is pretty chill. I've been saying I get paid to sit in airports that's my job, cause to me that's work.. especially in 2020, with people freaking out, and mask regulations, and Covid testings etc etc.. way harder than my job

@@willd4731 here's something else I forgot to mention, it's been almost a year that we've been dealing with this. I don't know why but so far so good, I never got sick and I wouldn't say I've done every single thing to stay out of harms way, I can't help that just the way it is. No one around me got sick either, the other thing is that I'm someone who before all this liked going to shows, if I go and the mask thing is still mandatory, for me it just won't be the same, I'd rather stay home instead.
