Hey Slayer well you’re spot on. We must not squander our life by chasing the dragon. We have a choice and you’re right there are days when it’s almost impossible to say no but knowing the end result will be the same should be enough to keep us away from whatever is holding us back in life. It can be anything even unrelated to a substance. Bottom line is we must find joy in life and really be present as tomorrow is not guaranteed. Thank you for your honesty it’s not harsh but your message is clear and concise. Have a great rest of the day! Until next time…

I really love the idea of writing down 10 things you're grateful for when you're down. I feel like it would remind me what i really want to be focusing on. I can promise you that my friends and family will always make that list and it would probably prompt me to make a phone call lol I really squandered my time with my family. I have so many memories that I was a part of that i can't recollect. It's such a shame. So when I'm tempted, I think about everything I missed out on in life and it sobers my brain up. It usually makes me urgently make plans with sometime i love. These connections are the bread and butter of life. I hope you're having a great week! Sending you hugs, prayers and the best of wishes!! Bro this message really hit home with me especially when you were talking about everyday living like it's not easy at all like we always have reminders in our own brains It's like a time clock like you said holidays birthdays any kind of celebration any thing that has to do with life in general It triggers us because we do like that warm feeling in our belly and to try to go throughout our day without it anymore is hard but you know what it is so much better It is more peaceful especially in the morning when I wake up I don't have that nauseousness that dizziness that feeling of being tossed in the wind going left or right you know now it's I am steady I have my mind right and I can go through my day and the hardest thing is those moments that trigger us is the hardest thing like you said what works for you might not work for somebody else We have to find our own thing in life to satisfy and put the flame out on those feelings and thoughts that try to overcome us bro we are overcomers we don't want to live that life anymore It's over It's done and that old dead man wants to be revived but you know what we are a new person We are washed clean We will never go back to that It's hard because we've been exposed to the dark side we've been exposed to the highs of doing drugs and drinking and whatever but you know what the Lows are Lows The highs or highs but the lows are lows And I just want to be even keeled steady and solid so my kids my wife and everybody around me can see that. Those days are over man I'll never forget those days They are always a reminder of what not to do I love it bro I'm so happy to see your followers growing and will continue to increase keep it moving homie❤💯✌🏻

"Addiction is a sign of selfishness and deep immaturity". Not sure who said that but I have to agree. It especially makes sense when studies point to addiction being a problem that affects young people more than any other group. Another one someone once said went something like, "The cure for addiction is connection". I like this because instead of thinking the gold ticket is will power, it points to the fact that addiction is not always caused by what people think it's caused by.
