Copper has been used in Persia since at least the 4th millennium BC. And ever since. Much admiration from the USA!

Excellent video! Could you please say something about the smoke ritual (beginning at 1:12)? Also, I'm interested how is inner side of the pot made silver-looking in the end?
@PersianHandCraftsP10 күн бұрын
Burning dried spikenard is an old Iranian tradition. Iranians believe that the fragrant smoke produced from burning spikenard purifies the air and attracts good vibes into the environment. ☘❤☘ It was covered by tin inside a copper container. You can see how it works in the video I'll leave you the link to. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oX2WnaKJZtlmhtEsi=nmc-mVjmYDId7f_T

At 10:58 is that polished solder?
@PersianHandCraftsP10 күн бұрын
The powder that is sprinkled on the edges of copper vessels during soldering is typically called flux. Flux: This powder or chemical acts as a flux, facilitating the soldering process. Flux creates a protective layer on the metal surface, reducing oxidation and allowing the metal to bond more effectively. In the case of copper vessels, the flux often contains compounds like borax. Borax is a natural mineral that is used as a flux in soldering and brazing metals. ✔✔☘

Hi All A very very talented craftsman, is he passing his knowledge to a younger person? I hope so, we are losing trades and techniques like these very quickly and they will be gone for good. BTW can you tell me, what is the powder he applies on the joints. Thankyou

How thick brass sheet can be cutted with that scissor?
@PersianHandCraftsP17 күн бұрын
I think these scissors can also cut 2.5 mm copper sheet. But these scissors have different dimensions and strengths. I will soon post an interesting video of how they are made. 🌹🌹✔✔
