Ordered 16 Corvette and took delivery at the National Corvette Museum. My second delivery at the Museum. Tons and Tons of reasons to do it. Everyone I have talked into doing the Museum delivery have thanked and thanked . That pretty much says it all Smiling and waving here from East Tennessee on a beautiful fall sunshiny day :)

Hey Chuck ...I purchased my 2017 Grand Sport from the dealership..I had built a Corvette Grand Sport on line on what I wanted as a wish list ..a dealership close by had a white Grand Sport with the red seats, red calipers, black mirrors, carbon fiber accents, and black stinger .. the only thing I did not get that I would have ordered is the lt2 package, I have lt1 package with navigation and the PDR comes with it..its a awesome car..Thanks for sharing your faith and encouragement to others.. blessings to you and your family.

Hi Chuck. I ordered my 2016 Stingray. Living in Canada we are not allowed to take part in the museum delivery. However, I was able to order the personalized name plate, and watch the build at the factory. Nothing can add more to the excitement than watching them assemble your car. The people on the line actually come out and shake your hand. What a great experience. I also purchased the album. This is a must. I am the proud owner of no. 76 off the assembly line. The only thing I really would have liked would have been the museum delivery. You guys should really take advantage of that. Also, when I took delivery of my car at the dealer, like you said, the salesmen knew less than me about the car. Cheers!

+Jet Bee congratulations on the new vette. When I order my ZR1 it will be a museum delivery for sure. Guys have done it said the car is assigned to 3 people and they literally give it the white glove treatment so that no scratches are made during the prep of the car. Thanks for sharing..

I ordered my corvette. Did the museum delivery and plant tour! Really cool and worth every penny. Seeing the cars assembled was awesome. The complete walk through of all the options on the car was very helpful. I ordered mine with the 3 LT package. Love all the options and glad I got it that way.!

It should be a corvette owner bucket list! And when the plant re-opens it will be even better. All the new and extra robotics going in will be cool to see. The new paint plant is huge! I liked the plant way better than the museum even though the museum was fun and interesting. Getting a private VIP of the plant is a must with at least one of your corvette purchases.

Really enjoyed your video, and the part at the end was truly beautiful about cherishing what we have, vs what we don't. You made my day as I just lost my mom, and on her death bed, she told me to buy a new car with her money she left. That car will mostly be a corvette. Never had one, but always have driven performance cars, right now that is a 2013 mustang get 6 speed manual. Love it but a corvette has been on my bucket list ever since 1968, when as a kid I fell in love with that model in that cool blue, so that new light blue color is what I'm looking for. got mine "pre-owned" (2200 miles, still smells new), wanted PDR but was watching what I was landing at as far as payments (not able to do the cash thing like you did), needed numbers to work out for me, found something that was a good fit overall.....

As to you questions; I ordered my 2017 Z06 after giving all options very careful consideration, there is only one option I wanted but was to I couldn't get it, that's the embroidered Z06 on the console. They told me the NAPA leather on the 3LZ is too thick to sew it??? I didn't get the Museum Delivery however I got the Engine Build Experience and the Buyers Tour RPO options. The Museum coordinated everything and was the go between me and the factory. They supplied a very knowledgeable guide who was also my private photographer for 4 days as I built my engine and was there every step of the way as my Z06 was assembled. Immediately after the Engine Build they sent me a DVD with 830 photographs documenting the process and several weeks later a hard cover book arrives with highlights of the engine build along with photos of my car being assembled. Tremendous options that I am so glad I chose. I have posted many of these photos on the Corvette Forum and Stingray Forum. Thanks again to the Corvette Museum staff for making it all run like clockwork!

I personally was referred to a dealer who sat with me and looked at all the Grand Sports within 100 miles and their options. I picked the one with the options I wanted and he got it for me. I wasn't planning on the Heritage pkg but that's what the car that most closely matched my options had. Got PDR 2LT black rims with red stripe and red hash marks in Watkins Glen Grey with a bloody interior. Too awesome for words

Hey Chuck! Thanks for another great video! I initially had every intention of ordering my '17 GS 2LT(Admiral Blue) but I found one that nearly met the build I had planned almost exactly. I went to Criswell Chevrolet in MD to test drive that Corvette. I couldn't help myself and couldn't wait any longer so I bought it that day!! They told me that they could have ordered one for me that would probably be built in a matter of weeks but coming off of a 4 months build/wait for my last Mercedes, I didn't want to have to "suffer" like that again! HAHA

Bought my 2016 Z51 coupe off dealer showroom. I have the Long Beach Red Metallic with the Spice Red Design Package, 3LT, exposed carbon fiber top with body color edges, Nav/PDR, 8-speed auto. Love it.

I ordered my 3lt on november 21st and picked it up december 26th. I wanted to do the musum delivery but since it was winter i didnt want to take a chance on bad weather. One thing you didn't mention about the PDR is that it records voice as well. If you get the opportunity after buying your next corvette you MUST do the RON FELLOWS owners school. An experience you will never forget.

Yes I ordered my 1977, L-82, 4-speed years ago. It has all the bells and whistles available back then including the AM-FM-8 Track, air conditioning, tilt-telescopic steering wheel, leather interior. I did not want power windows, but the dealer added them on the assumption that I'd back out on the deal and the car would be easier to sell with that option. I was scheduled to watch the car being built. The order was moved forward and I actually took delivery on the day I was supposed to go to the plant to watch the build. I still have the car and now it is due for it's next paint job. "Save the wave".

I bought my 2016 one year ago on 12/22/16. It is a 3lt with every option except one. It does not have the z51 package. The car didn’t sell because it was so loaded up and it didn’t have the z51. But it was exactly what I wanted. I don’t track my cars but I tour and cruise every chance I get. I waited until the last minute to buy the car and with all the incentives and loyaly program I got $17,000 off sticker. With my c5 vert as a trade in my out of pocket expense was what a Buick LaCrosse loaded would cost. After one year I have 10k on it and it’s still a rush to take it out. It still smells new. I bought it for me. I drive it on back roads and I don’t seek validation by showing up at various venues or social events driving it. I live in a small community and very few people even know I own it. I had a 59 when I was 17, lost it in a very minor accident and never got over wanting a new Corvette. 30 years after losing my c1 I bought a c5, 2003 model. Kept it as a garage queen and traded it in with just under 35,000 miles. I know it is wrong to love material things, but this car is the neatest vehicle I have ever owned. I drive the one car in the world I would choose if someone offered to give me any car in the world to keep and drive. Don’t need the Harley anymore. Done with boating. And as my wife says, camping is just housework on wheels. This is our fun and we’re going to run the wheels off it.

Thanks a mill for another fantastic video and amazing words of encouragement! 2LZ is really the "best bang for the buck" when it comes to the bells and whistles but the problem with that is if you want nav with PDR msrp become super close to 3LZ, like 2k (then subtract another 1k from 2LZ to 3LZ upgrade for museum delivery which you must if you are ordering it! The museums detailers alone are worth doing it! I can guarantee you that you won't have a crap load of scratches and swirl marks!)... Now, if you are looking for an already built 2LZ new or used WITH nav/pdr is a lot more rare especially for a specific color you want than just finding a 3LZ (dealership choose to order more 1LZ and 3LZ than 2LZ). 3LZ also ends up having suede, a little bit better leather quality as well. And ordering one is done with MSRP and you can find a 3LZ just sitting at the dealership cheaper thanks to incentives and deals! Some do just want more bare bones and not a whole lotta features in it which is totally fine, they are paying for it and having an ownership of it, not the way I would. I am more of a higher mid or upper trim kind of guy, I WANT to have those bells and whistles, I just love to have convenient stuff!

Definitely worth suggesting it to Vette engineering team. They truly do care and listen to customer feedback. I know for a fact they hover in and around the corvetteforum, and you can always approach them at a sanctioned Corvette Event (like at the museum or WoodWard cruise, etc). Which is why I LOVE going to those events! It's fantastic to get your car signed by the engineers whom had a hand in the vehicle you bought and love and just talk to them, not just listen to them on the internet!

Got lucky and the car on the dealer showroom had everything I wanted. I agree with your thoughts on the ugrades. I love the PDR. Fun to record road trips as well as track sessions. I enjoy your videos! Thank you. BTW - I took the Ron Fellow's drivers school. Best money spent. Great instruction and man does the Z06 pull hard! Brakes are amazing too. Even after the second day I was braking too early. What an amazing automobile.

I picked my car up off of the show room floor. I had done "a lot" of research on the internet, watched KZbin videos, and thought I wanted a GS. A lot of reviewers were saying if you aren't a F-1 driver you can't drive the car fast. Well.....I am not an F-1 driver, but I did race open wheel cars. I have turned literally 1000s of laps around Hallett, Road America, Road Atlanta. So I can drive a little better than my mom. I went to the dealer just to see the car. I told them it was over my budget. A little haggling later, off I drove. It is a Torch red with black wheels and accents, black interior, and 2ZL package. If I ordered the car I may have gotten the ZO7 package, but I don't know. Its optioned pretty good. This is my first Vet. I am a converted Porsche guy. I still love Porsche but to get ZO6 performance you are talking 200K or a 8 year old car. Anyway loving the first 6 weeks with my Vet. Another entertaining video.... Watching your mod videos......It's going to cost me......LOL

I had to order a 2018 Z06 3LZ as the dealership did not have my colors in stock. They will ship to Callaway in CT for the SC757 upgrade then back to dealership in NH. I wont take delivery till Dec cause of factory being closed. I worked with MacMulkin Chevy the 2nd largest covette dealer in the USA. Great service!

Just went to dealer and they had what I wanted. 3LT Z51. Next time I will build my own and place the order and take museum delivery. I was at the museum last June and then toured the assembly plant. BTW as a former combat infantry soldier the very last thing I would do would be to go camping. LOL. I also took the Ron Fellows performance driving school.

Also it records the audio in the car so you can hear what people are saying. I forgot to mention that and someone else pointed that out in a comment. Valet mode is must when you get out of the car.

Hi Chuck, I bought my 2016 Corvette black Z51 3LT on March 4th of this year. The dealer had 4 each 2016 Corvettes for sale. They were all sitting on the lot for about 7 months. How do I know, I went to the dealer like 2x a month. LOL I had my eye on the red Non Z51 2LT but it was sold a couple of weeks prior in Feb. On March 1st, the dealer added 0% Financing/72 months "AND" $15,000 in rebates. In Feb. the deal was the rebates "OR" the 0% Financing for 60mo, not both. They wanted to move them off the lot. I had seen the black one but I didn't feel I needed the Z51 3LT but with that discount, I figured I was getting a loaded Corvette for what the red Corvette model would have cost me. I didn't need the cameras, PDR, Nav. Well, let me tell you, I use those front cameras every day! I always felt I didn't need them as I thought it as a badge of honor to be able to park my Corvette back in the day and not hit anything. Forget that, get the camera option. LOL They're great. I couldn't agree with you more. Also, I didn't know about the valet mode. You taught me something there. I figured I would never use that option. I will now. Thanks Chuck and I really love your videos! P.S. to get the $15,000 off, you had to have a Corvette. I didn't so I only got the $13,000 with the financing but I was good with it. :-)

Kalahari interior you can only get in LT/LZ 2 or 3. I think there is one other that is the same way where you can't get it in LT/LZ-1

Oh it was Brownstone it was only a LT/LZ-2 or higher option.but sadly that interior option has been done away with. I think there was fewer than 1000 Corvettes with that interior option since 2014 to 2017.

Corvettes 918, I like the corsa exhaust tone. We had a corvette show up at our local car show with a corsa exhaust and it sounds great. However corsa dose not make an exhaust system for my 1962. What do you recommend for a replacement exhaust system if you have any suggestions. Thanks! Jason

I have had no issues with my Z06 and I have several guys in my vette club with the new GS and haven't heard about anyone having any issues. I can't remember the level but it was a 3 coat system and it cost me about $1,500 best mod I did to the car.

I searched for a 2017 Z06 torch red with 3LZ and got one. Also they took $2,000 off the price because I currently already owned a corvette. Just showed them my Title and Chevorlet took off 2K.

Hi again, Chuck. I didn't order my 2017 Corvette. I simply saw a picture of it in the paper and drove right down to the dealership and traded my old Vette in on it. It happened to have everything I wanted on it already. If anything, I would have liked to have a front view camera so I wouldn't scrape my front spoiler on the parking space curbs. One last thing; I can't seem to scroll down on your descriptions so I still need the site where you ordered those stickers to cover the airbag instructions. Please send me their address. Thanks.

I got mine early (Oct 2013). I was told that someone decided to cancel their order after it was made. It came as a premier edition with all the options. Unfortunately, they did not offer the front camera with recording option in valet mode. If you loan the car our, can you secretly record driving without putting it in valet mode?

No, but most people are not going to know it is recording and it also records what is being said n the car so you get a visual and sound. They will just now that its locked down.

If you can swing the carbon ceramic $7,500 definitely donut. If you can’t then when you get the Z06 change out the OEM brake pads with Hawk ceramic pads. The break dust is overwhelming with the OEM they will always be dirty. Other than that everything is just building it the way you want. Can’t wait to see it.
