We have a German Shepherd/cane Corso mix. Very intelligent. We are not professionals but he has been taught to not steal food from tables, move when asked because he's large and strong. And he cuddles us like crazy. He loves playing and isn't food motivated. I am not afraid to take him out at night. He is both a mix of guard and support animal most of which he learned on his own. He won't attack but he will protect and be a damn loud alarm dog. We are still training him, he can be very stubborn and too friendly lol.

So… I used to be an apartment maintenance man. The note on work order said dog friendly. The dog was a cane corso. It really challenged me but it was a very fast fix and was really easy. The dog growled everytime I looked. And stood and watched me fix garbage disposal didn’t look away for a second and on my way out it growled again but I told him thank you and he growled again. Best experience ever.

I've only met one Cane Corso in my life but that genuinely was the best dog ive ever met, ill never forget Buster. He would let small kids literally RIDE HIM DOWN THE STREET. One day Buster and his owner found me in the middle of summer in a ball on the sidewalk having a severe panic attack trying to walk home from work one day, Buster laid down on me licking my face for a solid 3 minutes until i was laughing so hard it took the panic attack away. Every time i saw them after that Buster would always stay super close to me, like he knew something could go wrong at any moment but if he was there it'd be okay. Buster was such a good boy, i miss that dog

My first "exposure" to the Cane Corso was through Senza Tempo Cane Corso here on KZbin. At first, even watching a yardful of these huge dogs terrified me. I was genuinely worried about Rachel's safety. But she's a good breeder, and she has a very level head on her shoulders. Now, seeing you discuss this magnificent breed of dogs, I am getting another viewpoint on the breed. I am no longer terrified of Cane Corsos. I realize they need to be properly handled and trained, and they need to be respected. But they no longer cause a spike in anxiety for me like they used to because of people like you and Rachel, who take the time to educate about the nuts and bolts of the Cane Corso. Thanks.

I am 100% on the same page!! I’ve been watching Rachel since before they moved into their huge property in Texas (4-5? Years ago) Everything I know about Cane Corsos I’ve learned from watching her channel. Now I’m watching this guy pretty regularly too and his training videos. If I thought I was confident before discovering him, I’m now even more confident that I’ll be able to raise an amazing cane corso. 🥰🥰🥰

My niece recently had a 152 pound male Cane Corso. Friendliest and CALMEST dog I can ever remember. I saw him maybe 30 times with different groups of people around and never heard him bark or growl once. Even when I knocked on the door or entered the house he was by the door but he never barked or jumped on you. He would nudge you with his head a little I think to greet people or maybe just to get petted.

I dog sat a Cane Corso a few times a couple of years ago. His owner is a travel nurse, and she took some trips on her days off. She must have trained him very well, because he was a sweetheart. He got away from me once on a walk, but didn't run very far, or even as fast as he probably could, and let me get hold of his leash very quickly. He was so fun to spend time with ❤

Very well said sir!! It’s to common to see people that owns these dogs and have no control over them….just because they behave with your children or your family members in his yard, does not mean the same when you take them out of his yard……a responsible owner is someone that has complete control of their dog at all times….a good example is your dog walking next to you and not pulling on a leash…..which you see about 90% of people walking their dogs

@@manfordedens6805 you’re absolutely right, but my comment is directed specifically to these type of dogs being owned by people with no business of owning one…..I work in the veterinary field and I see people with powerful breeds such of this that don’t know how to control them and is even afraid of restraining their own dog ….I think if you had 2 choices of getting bitten by this dog vs a 10lb poodle…you would pick a bruised hand from the poodle over a torn/ripped open arm from this dog…
@manfordedens6805

@@nealaskme6272 although that may be true as far has having the choice which one you get bitten by however the choice to not get bitten at all is better I've seen and heard of more people getting bit by smaller dogs then I have ever from larger dogs that is the real question is to why that is one I would assume is a rightful fear and respect for dogs like these but it's mostly because people don't understand the actual animal hierarchy and dominance reigns supreme and most people wether there the owner or another person don't understand that and don't respect that and treat animals like humans yet forget like dogs and such humans are animals yet we were created to learn and become more then our instincts but animals will always put instincts first

They are great at doing their job no questions asked and comes with serious great responsibilities. Get a trainer now that’s he’s still a pup. These dogs are aggressively territorial even towards their owners if the training is not started young. It’s sad to have to give them up cause they start getting dominates aggressively towards their owners and the owner starts filling helpless cause lack of how to fix this problem at a more difficult older age. The permanent damage these dogs are capable of doing makes the price for getting you trained to be able to constantly train this dog is nothing compared to the curse of regrets with irreversible damage.

They are very beautiful dogs. I could not have one as I would not be able to handle one.

They are beautiful dogs. A great breed for the correct owner. I adored mine. She truly was an amazing dog. She watched my kids without being taught. They’d try to run and she’d be there “where we going”. Made me feel a lot better in a world so terrible. Experienced owner only and please don’t think you can get these dogs and treat them like pits, these dogs will defend themselves so not for the owner who thinks beating is training.

I used to own a breeding facility of Italian Cane Corso (F80/105 M90/115 pounds) At one time, I had 12 of them at home. They are the natural enemy of family threats... Natural born killers, I wouldn't go as far as this, but the are definitely Natural born protection beasts. Luckily for us, the Cane Corso thrive on pleasing its owner and are suckers for any gestures of appreciation towards them. Good boy/girl, belly rubs or bits of sausages can and will take you a loonnngggggg way with them. I even had one male trained for agility race and parkour... 110 pounds of sweetness.

As someone who works at a doggy daycare, I am tired of the influx of Cane Corsos coming in with owners that don't understand what breed they have.

My cousin has one, he is 9 years old now, but when he was young, he was beast, everybody feared him even tho he was trained to not hurt anyone, only problem with that dog is that he is slobbering alot, but I believe it's common "problem" with large breeds.
