@BlackholeTtson452 I wouldn't dismiss your point. Your statement are true. However I would like to add that the late 1400s was the precursor of exploration era even according to historical records. The 1400s was like the mission to the moon and 1500s to 1700s the mission for mars. The technical knowledge developed during the 1300s and 1400s would catapult the rest of the centuries.

There are a lot of struggling parents with children with disabilities that are so grateful. starship will fly when it's ready; there are no deadlines.

Not a deadline kind of thing leads to unrealistic expectations and broken promises, but based on current progress moon 2023-2025 and Mars 2025-2028. Obviously way more manned moon missions, but Mostly/all robotic missions for Mars.

1 million tons to Mars? So we need to burn 25 million tons of fuel? Do we even have that much on earth? Do we want that for our atmosphere?

@201bio
@201bio 2 жыл бұрын
A moon base'd definitely be a good idea, but that's one of the goals of Artemis. I don't think you're as likely to get a self-sustaining moon colony though, as the moon doesn't really have as many resources necessary to survival as Mars does. That said, Starship would definitely help in establishing a moon base as much as it would help a Mars base.
