Because most countries have these funny things called Courts and Laws, police don't just take people out back of the jail and shoot them in the head, that would be highly illegal. Besides that most Somali pirates are chiefly former fishermen driven to desperation because the Somali fishing industry went to total hell

I was on a ship pirate hunting. We caught 47 and took them to the Seychelles for sentencing. 1 of them was a taxi driver his first trip out in a boat got caught and got 7 years in jail 🤣🤣🤣

I didn't realize the French were also patrolling the Strait near Somalia. I also am outraged at the pirate activity by Somalia, but the only economy this region had was fishing, and Japan moved in their large mass-fishing vessels and decimated the fish population off Somalia, leaving those who had no other means of earning a living and maintaining life to starve. This puts me in a moral quandary; Japan and other nearby countries destroyed the economy of Somalia, so do we let them starve? Piracy is horrific, and so is starvation.
