I never thought about doing putting the colors right on there without mixing it with the epoxy first. I may try that, I'm wanting the blue green, copper and gold from Stonecoat and I may try this technique so that the colors stay true

It's a fun technique, for sure! And so many different designs you can create. Watch my other videos showing this technique so you're aware of all the necessary steps. Another winner Keith! A couple of questions for you. First of all, do you think this technique would work with the pink foam board with the understanding that the edges may need to be addressed? Secondly, what brand of alcohol dyes are you using?

Hey Pete and thanks! Yes, I think it would work on foam board, I would just want to be sure there's a good solid coat/layer of epoxy over the fiber mesh and Quick Coat. As far as the alcohol dyes, there's no particular brand as I'm just using Alumilite Dyes and Resin Arte mica powders mixed with 91% isopropyl alcohol to create the colors.

I love your countertops and videos. Is it possible to do this method over existing Formica counter top?

Thank you, Ruth! Of course, you would just prep it as normal for a laminate countertop, painting with a white undercoat, then pour a clear coat of epoxy (or adding some undertones as I explained in my video). Then after 24 hours you're ready for the Claramarble technique.
