ANTIQUE VINTAGE ONLINE AUCTION | LISTING HAUL ON EBAY
Each month, I set aside 20 of my more interesting finds to list on eBay, and we do a haul video where they drop online for sale as we talk about them! This month features a wide variety of things from all over the world…American sterling, Mexican pottery, a Czech glass necklace and a Swiss Army knife are on the docket.
We really enjoy sharing what’s special about what we list…opalescent Sabino glass, Sascha Brastoff potter and Whiting & Davis accessories all came from people with fascinating stories who made items that are truly set apart in design. World War II brought huge technological change, and there’s other vintage items in this haul that took advantage of new materials and methods to make things that we cherish today.
Our Level 2 members get to see this live, where links appear in the chat as we drop them. Thanks to their support, we get to create this bonus video, where eventually everyone gets to benefit from the information we share. We appreciate all our members, subscribers and viewers for your support! Enjoy this bonus video.

I love Ken Edwards Tonala pieces. Have several and found them all for very little money. Very few people seem to know what they are. I just watched a reseller pick up a Ken Edwards Tonala cat on the third day of an estate sale, and put it down again, and I yelled at the screen, haha!

Everything you could possibly love in History, Art education and the Fun of Useful or Playful or decorator objects and art...with a fun nice person and great people here in the community. Having a happy wake up hour...thanks...I LOVED my grandma's few Whiting and Davis things..I bought in early 80's an eyeglass and makeup black mesh and I always use the small makeup when traveling on nice dinners when all you need is a card, key, lipstick and tissue. 40 years and still fabulous. I loved every item..I am commenting as this goes through...my dad would love that Shearwater Pottery...I love the Cupid on a Swing bronze..I get tired of wild west bronze pieces.,,and wild west art...lol. Not that I do not appreciate but..nobody likes a teacup here..lol. Love the B and G Bird. Ok I go on and on..love silver..the looking and looking and learning is so appreciated. Have a good Thursday the 29th of April.

Hi George, I am so glad I watched this! I grew up pronouncing Tonala the way the Mexicans do but have been very confused for the last year hearing how it's pronounced in the reseller community. My family spent a lot of time in Mexico when I young because my father was doing research for his PhD in archeology. One of our trips we went to Ken Edwards factory. My mom spent a half hour picking out about 20 plates from the boxes of seconds set out in front. These were our everyday dishes for the rest of her life. Anyway, thank you for mentioning the difference in the pronunciation!
@TheAntiqueNomad
@TheAntiqueNomad 3 жыл бұрын
How cool! They were great for everyday. I remember his stuff appearing in the San Diego area because it was cheap and easy to import in the 1970s. I usually massacre pronunciations, and the collector community is right that Americans pronounce it To-NAW-la by common usage, but I want to go to the town in Mexico and I've been looking into it
@VampcatVvvvV
@VampcatVvvvV 3 жыл бұрын
@@TheAntiqueNomad Everyone in my family pronounce it the Mexican way. When I was 10 or 12 my oldest brother and family took a trip to Mexico and my sister in law made sure they went to the KE factory. She purchased a huge full set of 1st quality dishes. Probably 100 pieces. My mom was certain Sue was intent on up staging her. (I actually prefer the seconds. They have a lot more character.)In the 50 years since I've only seen them used once or twice.
