My parents never raised a hand to me. They, as any parent, loved me. That doesn't mean that their alcholism didn't lead to some severe trauma, or child neglect. Drug addiction, alcholism, etc. is a problem and it is evil. It's also the foundation of hundreds of child abuse and domestic violence cases. Drugs have an affect on behavior and personality. pretty much the entirety of my dads side of the family are addicts. not all recovered and some didn’t make it but my uncle is activity in his addiction. he has been struggling his entire adult hood with this. he never once laid a finger on my aunt or his two kids. still even to this day. 19 years he has been abusing drugs and not once did that ever give him the thought to be abusive. i know what addiction can lead to for children but it doesn’t always. yes neglect is a HUGEEE thing and in no way shape or form am i excusing any behavior from an addict but i don’t want people to get this idea that all addicts are abusers because that isn’t the case.

I personally chopped my middle finger once, I slammed a door on my middle fingers and only the middle finger chopped, I lost a lot of blood but I didnt feel a anything for the first two days, my whole arm was numbed from the impact, I was rushed to the ER, they attached the finger with 3 stitches but suggested immediately surgery on the nail bed, meaning take the nail off, stitch and attach the finger back to the hand and attached the nail back again, that way the finger would grow straight, I too had a nervous attack after a few hours of the incident happening, I too started speaking and doing non sense because I was nervous. After surgery on day three I recover feeling on my arm and was in a lot of pain, heavy meds for three months, I lost 4 nails over the course of a year and I couldn’t properly work or fully function for about 6 months. So I feel his pain, I know how hard it is, and I can testify that the middle finger is the first one to go off for no absolutely or clear reason, it just happens. there’s no right or wrong reaction to losing a finger seeing blood and thinking you are gonna die right there. On top of that, imagine being at that emotional state and had this happening to you, I would’ve write with my blood too, at the end of the day I’m not feeling a thing… This is just sad.

I almost cut the tip of my right thumb off once by accidentally sticking my thumb in the frame where the hinges of the door are and when the door closed it caught my thumb in the frame and cut the tip of the thumb halfway off at the nail! I'm so glad a powerful man like Johnny has come forward and told the world he's a victim of domestic violence. I feel like crying because my dad is too but he wont/can't get away from her. We've tried everything but she's got some sort of hold on him. He tried to end his life in 2020 and that's when it all came out properly, we'd known she was abusive but not to the degree she actually is. He told the nurses at the hospital who contacted adult social services, he told us (me, my brother and our mam) but when adult services came out he backtracked on everything he'd told us and the hospital so they couldn't do anything about it. He went back to his house after a couple of weeks, she'd moved out as soon as he went into hospital so that was obviously planned way before that. We still don't know exactly what happened or why he did that, we know it's because he's being abused but we don't know specifically what happened that day that led to him doing that. My dad would NEVER have done something like that before her, he loved life and was a very sociable, popular guy who lived to play his guitars and drive his nice car all over and had a good paying job and his house paid off. All of that stopped when she came into his life. She did what Amber did, pretended to be his dream woman at first, got her feet under the table and slowly it started. Red flags were waving wildly for us but he wouldn't have it, he either still couldn't see it or he felt too embarrassed to say he was wrong. Too many people believe all women no matter what and I'm here to say some of the worst humans I've ever known have been other women. The two most horrible people in my life are women, she's one and the other one is a woman, they're the only people I truly hate in life. Just because men are generally the stronger sex physically doesn't mean they will use that force and if they do they'll be called an abuser and these women know that and exploit it. I've seen it loads of times, women hitting men for ages over and over then when he even so much as pushes her away she starts screaming he's hit her. Sorry for the rant but these things piss me off royally. Hopefully my dad will get his life back one day, along with Johnny, but he's 67 this year and has two stents in his heart so I hope it's sooner rather than later, if at all.
