I own this game but have never played it as I couldn't fathom the game play or strategy from the rules. This video fixed that. Many thanks.

Great game to have for a play through, I think coops are my favourite for this format. Really great to hear about this on your Vlog then be able to check it out here.

I won my last solo game with the river crossing and, like you, had one survivor left with only one health point

Loved the artwork! The box design is inspired on the covers of Tintin books.

Huh, I hadn't noticed but I can see it now. I read all of those comics when I was a kid, they had them at a local library and I loved them. That may well explain why I enjoy the art esthetic of this game so much.

Thanks for this. Helped me learn the game.

We love it so much! Did a 2player playthrough with my fiance and it was tense. What player count do you guys suggest?
@JonGetsGames6 жыл бұрын
After playing it at 2 and 3p I feel like I enjoyed it at 3p a bit more since you have 4 cards to crunch through instead of 6. That being said I've really enjoyed it at 2p as well, and I'm curious to see what the 4p game is like as well as the competitive variant.

Jon, So is player 3 the winner or does everyone who played win the game? Thanks.
@JonGetsGames3 жыл бұрын
It's fully cooperative so everyone wins or loses together.

liked the artwork, was on the fence to buy it, but ultimately didn't. Watching this playthrough supports my gut feeling.

Great playthrough. BTW the animal is called a "Peck-uh-ree". Looks like a fun game to me.

I saw two versions for the box, this you are showing and another one, is this or the other a second version of the game with cards matching the colors of the expansion cards please?
@JonGetsGames5 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately this is the first I've heard about two versions of the box, so I don't have any information to help you out with this.
@goldbug3715 жыл бұрын
I just recently discovered on BGG a different layout of the box was sketched, never released or used but the image still pop out from time ti time

Great video as always! Just as a note: Xavante is pronounced "shavante" :)

what is the actual point in having the cards from the lowest number to the highest please? They are not connected to one another anyway as far I can see
@JonGetsGames5 жыл бұрын
The point is to add a mechanical constraint on the players in order to make the decisions around which card to choose even more intricate.

Jon if I may give you a constructive critic... please try to speak slower. The only guy I know who speaks faster than you is Ben Shapiro. :-)
@JonGetsGames6 жыл бұрын
This is something I have heard many times in the past and I have been working on speaking slower in my videos for quite some time. It's something I will keep trying to pay attention to, but it's easy to slip because I normally talk faster than this every day and so does most of the people I interact with so it's tough to keep it mind while the camera is on.
@michaelespeseth11586 жыл бұрын
I actually like the pace of your speech. You speak clearly and concisely which is what matters most to me. I'm a new subscriber and love the videos. Please keep up the good work!
@seikisakata30096 жыл бұрын
I agree with Michael Espeseth. I think the faster pace is good, especially in some of the longer playthroughs. You sometimes explain much more than is needed (although it's justified since you are teaching rules as well), but I don't know if I could sit through some of the more obvious reasonings if it was done slower.

Really? I watch these videos at 2X speed and have no problem! :-)

Click on the "gear" at the bottom right of the video, Click on "Speed" and choose a slower speed like "0.75" and boom Jon now speaks slower.

I hated this game. I sold it after 3 plays. It just seemed like pure luck of the draw and no matter how correct your choices would be, they still could not matter.
@hoodaguy6 жыл бұрын
Really? Interesting. I've played it four or five times and never really felt it was that luck driven.
@julianrivas12246 жыл бұрын
Tom Landy Well when I would choose which reward wasn’t obviously needed I wouldn’t know if I would need it later or if I should have taken the other one until the next encounter arose. This was just one of the ways I found the game not engaging but I really wanted to like it.
