You guys love parroting Turtleboy . It’s amazing the legal opinions people like yourself provide. Non-attorneys who have never even read the rules of evidence or criminal procedure, never mind applied these legal precepts and theories during actual trials suddenly become legal scholars on evidentiary issues. Cite your cases legal scholar. On which motions in limine did judge Cannone misapply the rules of evidence, which specific rule, and what’s the applicable caselaw? As actual criminal defense attorneys know, judge Cannone has provided a generous amount of lead way on evidentiary issues when it comes to the defense, out of an abundance of caution. Not only has she done this in the Read case but in many others. It’s the reason why she is so well respected by the defense bar, including myself, in Massachusetts.

@@Michaelcollin-wu2ng She is biased and has been from the beginning. The fact that she is not allowing the cause of death on the death certificate, specifically "Undetermined", in evidence shows that. There is NOTHING in the rules of evidence that prevents manner of death Undetermined to be allowed into evidence. Only Homicide, Accidental and Suicide have superior court rulings precluding these to be allowed into evidence. It is SHOCKING that she would not allow this into evidence. So you may respect a biased judge, who has a personal relationship with one of the "witnesses" in this case and refused to recuse herself, but people with higher standards of ethics do not. And that's just 2 examples of bias out of many, many more. She's be reassigned to civil court, yet she insisted on keeping this case. Wonder why. But I'm not worried. She'll be investigated once this case is over. And THAT I'm very much looking forward to. She can then huff and puff all she wants.

Olivia Lambo Two fun facts: 1) Judge Cannone’s brother, John Prescott, represented Chris Albert as his attorney for his hit & run homicide back in 1994. 2) Judge Cannone’s popular nickname (in reference to this case), “Auntie Bev”, was given to her by “witness” Jen McCabe’s brother-in-law, Sean McCabe, when he threatened to bury the corpse of investigative journalist @DoctorTurtleboy -who’s been covering and broke the story- under the “seaside cottage” of the Judge. When asked if he/his family had a “line to Judge Cannone”, Sean McCabe stated: “Auntie Bev??? Whose seaside cottage do you think we're going to bury your corpse under?"

So bogus.. it’s not like there’s a plethora of binding case law from the SJC that says the cause of death should be redacted from the death certificate in cases where the cause of death is disputed between the parties since this is a material issue of fact for the jury to decide. Leaving the cause of death on the death certificate prejudices the defendant since it could confuse the jury into thinking that they are not the one to decide the cause of death and to instead take the written words on the death certificate as to the cause of death as indisputable truth. You online attorneys always give me a chuckle. If your legal scholar turtleboy said it’s bad, it must be .

The Judge is well-respected in MA and comes from a family of respected lawyers/Judges. She's fair. She may be a little out of breath, but that could be speaking closely in the mic, a technical sound issue, a health issue, or a little extra weight or stress. She has a nice soft tone speaking voice, in my opinion. She's covering many unresolved matters right before the trial and has a ton of logistics to figure out quickly. The Judge is doing exceptional for the number of issues still unresolved, with opening statements expected to start next week.

Karen has never been financially dependent on John, is highly educated and earned all her money as a university financial mathematics professor and was not married to him. They had been in a relationship before, but because she had to move far away for work, they decided to split up. When she returned, they fell in love again, now John had his nephew and niece (parents were both deceased). That wasn't a problem for Karen, she loved them and helped raise them. (Not every woman does that!) What many people don't know is that Karen has had a history of serious illnesses since the age of 25, including Crohn's disease (a whole section of her intestines was even removed), she also developed MS and sometime after her arrest it turned out that she also had a brain tumor too, so her lawyer Yannetti didn't even know if she would make it! Karen is mentally very strong and therefore often comes across as a bit haughty, but that is because she is trying to right this enormous injustice that has be done to her, in the way she has been framed, trying to survive and show the world how it all really works with all the corruption there in Canton from top to bottom. Because even the judge and the district attorney are 100% involved in it too, and that is very clear if you watched the days in court. As the truth slowly becomes clearer, she can finally laugh a little more. The fed follows everything (nearly right from the beginning) in the background and has long since proven with the help of their own experts that she did not do it and is therefore innocent. When you are treated like a criminal day and night by the judge (Auntie Bev for the real perpetrators) and her accomplice district attorney Adam Lally, you understand that she has that grinning smile and that she really no longer stands up for that judge (who is related to all those corrupt people.) She will be acquitted but I really hope real justice for John and Karen that the truly guilty will not escape their punishment, preferably everyone who helped make this happen! And I hope that she will be rewarded for the enormous financial costs she has had to incur, she has nothing left, lost her beloved children his niece and nephew too! Has no house, no car, no job because of all of them!
