You don't need to have your money sitting in a checking . You can have you money invested in a Merrill Self directed Brokerage account so if you have a old 401k that qualifies you for preferred rewards. If you are Platinum honors that 75% out earns Chase cards for spend. Chase cards bonuses are better and easier to churn. I use both set ups.... Thanks! It’s a large MSR, so P2 will have to get hers afterwards. Hopefully its still 75k by then, but if not then we’ll still pocket those credits twice within the first few months

It’s a good card, but only if you can fit it into your setup. I see the value in the credits plus the sign up bonus. It’s still a fairly new card as well. Chatgpt doesn’t even know the card exists, it thought it was a fictional card lol

Absolutely! Timing will be important though for the application, I’m glad I have all of my chase cards already so I would describe this card as more of an end game card since the barrier for approval is much lower

How did you get the fees waived? I just spoke with reps on chat and phone and one didn’t know what I was talking about, and the other said they’ll only waive fees if you get the card before active duty service.

The customer service reps, They’re not going to know. I know it sounds counterintuitive but it’s relatively new that they waive the fee under MLA, and most people aren’t going to care enough to know the difference between MLA and SCRA. If you want to wait until you see my fee waived then by all means, it’s going to take a few weeks though. It’s also understandably hard to believe since you can’t find this anywhere on the internet either
