I just wanted to ask are you editing on your laptop or on a monitor?

Katelyn I know you have said that you outsource a lot of your editing. It would be great to see your tips on how you handle a situation that requires a lot of hand editing, like acne. Thank you so much for this and all you share!

Are the clipping highlights in the sky a stylistic choice or simply a no concern?

That was my first question, too.

@@Lackmind I’m pretty sure its a style. Even the youtube lighting setup is really bright (wich I apreciate too , to be honest).
@Lackmind2 жыл бұрын
@@itwasme2435 you're probably right. It's too prevalent and consistent. I actually like it as well, my question was just curiosity. What I like the most is how luminous and bright her photos are while preserving a good overall contrast.

Super interesting clip! Can someone help me undestand how she picks 3-4 different presets on the left side? I have only ever been able to choose 1 preset of any preset, and the next preset you pick overrights the first preset chosen... So anyone able to help me understand how she goes from highlight presets, to green focus presets, without loosing the first highlight preset she chose to the green preset... cheers!

When you create a preset, you get to select which editing elements that preset works on. That is to say, you can create a preset that only affects the tone curve, or only adjusts exposure, or HSL sliders etc. A lot of people select all of the elements when creating a preset, so applying that preset will adjust every element in the develop panel. Looks like KJ created nice targeted presets which allows the effects to build on each other without overriding each other.

@@jillschindel2832 hmmmm if that is true, that is very smart of her!. Thankyou for your reply.

She has her own set of presets (that hou can buy) which she calls her "preset process." Its a 4-step process that allows you to do what she just did here.

Hi Katelyn I have bought both the preset process and the consistency course but I am wondering how to give a photo a tonal profile manually? (Ex golden warm)

To light edited, on my screen the pictures look bleached! The whites are to light and the darks are fainted without contrast. Maybe its different on your screen. I hope so!!
