This is a stunning piece! I love the color choices you made and the decorative soldering around the center of the flower.

Would love to see you cutting pattern prior to drawing on glass. Your fit is always so perfect

Your soldering is the best I've seen. What do you contribute to your smooth solder seam lines?
@SamanthaAshleyGlass4 ай бұрын
Oh thanks! I suppose practice, and a smaller soldering tip - I really like using a 3.2mm tip
@Snowisper2 жыл бұрын
I love the solder embellishments you added! How do you do that?!
@SamanthaAshleyGlass2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I'll have to do a video on it! Basically, after your piece has cooled a little, you flux the seam, grab a good amount of solder, and hold your iron sideways so just the corner of the iron tip touches the seam where you want the little solder ball to go.
@Snowisper2 жыл бұрын
@@SamanthaAshleyGlass Do you need to turn your solder iron down to 350 deg F to accomplish that?
@SamanthaAshleyGlass2 жыл бұрын
No, I keep it at 410°C

Very pretty! I'm so happy you stayed with silver! Watching other artists, I've seen so many pieces that have been done black yet would have looked sooo much better silver, copper or another.....anything but black. Copper would have worked great, as well. I love the greens with copper! I know it's all subjective, but taste is taste and you've got good taste! Beautiful work!

Aw thank you! And totally agree. I love using silver, copper and black in my work - sometimes it's hard to choose which finish to go with!
