I just go straight to the snake. I hate it, but it has to be done. I also go all the way down to push out the clog. Too shallow and it moves the clog to the downstairs sink.

Ewweeeeee.....grosssssss... 😅😅😅😅 Thanks for helping Andy. If there's one thing I despise it's a clogged drain. Therefore I do my due diligence as a female with extremely long hair to try to prevent my hair from going down the drain with a $1 hair trap and also to routinely use one of those $3 plastic hair removal tools you have there. Successful so far🎉.

That first thingy that you used works great. However, my tub has a stopper that screws into the centre of an x in my drain. I’ve found that the teeth on that catches and makes it hard to use. So I shaved one side off and it works much better on my drain.
