My washing machine has an intensive rinse function, I use it every time

What's the difference in an "intensive rinse" versus an "extra rinse" cycle?

A few months ago, my 17 year old pup had an eye infection with discharge- I switched to a free and clear, hypo-allergenic detergent, and it cleared up. Yesterday, I saw a Bobby Parrish video on SLS and, sure enough, my old detergent had it.

What about swimming? Pools have some form of chlorine.

For fabric softener I just use white vinegar in the rinse cycle. Cheap, soft, effective, and helps to wash out other residues! Best for line drying too, leaves it smelling clean without that musty smell from drip dry.

The rinse cycle doesn't rinse the detergent out of your clothes?

A lot of the new formulas contain “sticky molecules” which stay in the fabric for multiple washes. You can only get those out with industrial solvents or alcohols.

Newer models/machines have an "extra/2nd" rinse cycle. I always use that feature when I'm washing my clothes bc the 1st rinse does leave a little residue. I'd rather be safe than sorry js.

Thank you for helping us 🙏🏼 a registered nurse I worked with told me it’s not the detergent that cleans your clothes we don’t get dirty. We need to nuke our clothes in the dryer
