By looking at what they are requiring for players to download, it seems like they don't mess around and that's the best news ever. They're using mods outside of race department and Real Penalty which are both almost necessities for legit AC experience. They already opened up training servers and they're getting filled up. After all these years we finally can get proper ranking system in this game. Amazing.

Yeah those curbs are doomed. i started to play ac a couple of days ago and came from ams2 while being overall newbie(2 weeks of racing with wheel), and i got shoked by those brutal curbs while driving the m3. Gotta say gt3 cars can fight some curba quite well in ac too but most cars get launched like a 🚀

Yeah the Mazda at lime rock hates the curbs so look out for that in rookies, some tracks and cars seem to be a lot less affected

the challenging bit is choosing what sort of races/classes LFM will focus on for AC. I would suggest they limit the amount of classes to say 3/4 and then one championship will be "random" i.e different car each week, new track, but still accumulating points. maybe the "journeyman" cup or something

You should really try World Sim Series new ranked licensed system. For me WSS is the best of them all, it's the one closest to what iRacing has to offer, it automates all the download of mods you need and etc.

This is great. When I first got my sim setup a few years ago I was so excited to get ACC, it was part of my motivation for moving to the pc. However I tested AC just because and kinda thought it seemed better but wouldn't let myself play it as I didn't think there'd be enough going on online with it. I then got into ACC and really enjoyed it however really wished it had loads of other tracks for a change (I was tempted to go to iracing but it just didn't click for me), some variety. Also with regards to the cars at times but more importantly for me, tracks. LFM coming to AC is really exciting!! I'll get back on it like a car bonnet

The good thing about the AC1 community is that there's a lot less morons. If you play AC you've taken the time to install CM/CSP/Pure and Sol/Mods etc (obviously there are a few psychopaths playing vanilla AC). So I can see this being adopted quickly and people not being too lazy vs the other install and click race sims.

Endurance race on Shutoku or LA Canyons. 🥳😱🤲🙌😂 I had such high hopes for RF2 LFM, but AC will be incredible. I've spent over 1000 hours in ACC but the only thing keeping ACC alive is LFM. Group C, GT1, Group A and so much more in LFM is exactly what's been lacking.

By bringing me this news, you made my day. LFM is fantastic. The way it's moderated it makes for very clean races, with occasional but understandable, most of the times, crashes. The standards of racing are way, way better than iRacing thanks to that. You hardly see people drive dirty or cause intentonal crashes. A couple of months ago, I spent 4-5 weeks driving on ACC LFM almost every single day. Unfortunately, at the end of that period I decided to stop racing because Assetto Corsa Competizione force feedback is atrocious, and while driving on Spa with my Audi I had no sense of understeer or oversteer. The MX-5 is also one of my favourite cars to drive, by driving it on iRacing, though I think the model in Assetto Corsa is an older one. And, while I already owned AC, I never played it that much and didn't like it because the AI sucks and it didn't look like there were a lot of people playing online, I guess you had to be in a league for that. Following these news, I'm downloading it and I'll prepare to race on Monday in Lime Rock Park on the MX-5. This is excellent news. Thank you

Any anticheats? I used to race league races on AC years ago and cheating was problem back then. I bet there will be even more people running some grip/power cheats when there is ranked system.

People can report and it would probably end up being quite obvouse / they risk getting banned from biggest ranking system. there well always be cheats in games to some degree , there loss really.

CSP has an anticheat of sorts in it to stop people swapping tyres, editing luts for more aero/power.

the one problem l have is that most of those who were stuck in AC they dont really know how to race wheel to wheel with other cars. l constantly get bonked losing sr in the race. i can end a race with 20 incident points which none where my fault

I have played thousends of hour sof iracing and most iracers have no race craft at all even in top split even 3k+ drivers , iracers end up prodominently being hot lappers untill you start getting to people that basically live on iracing and are in the 4-5k ir bracket which is probably only 1-2 people in most series.

LFM Maybe cool in top tear. But I'm getting better race in Private lobbys than 1300-1500 elo LFM Race as you get killed 9 times out of 10. Which makes impossible to increase ELO so simply can't be bothered but well done who passes the Diablo doungen and gets clean racing at the Eng Game.

AC isn't for me. I can not be bothered dicking around with mods, installing 3rd party programs and messing with external websites just to jump online and race. Hopefully AC2 addresses a lot of those issues and we can get a coherent 'in-the-box- sim going outside of iRacing.

Different FFB style. I loved AC at first and hated rF2. Now that I’ve played more rF2 I appreciate that it has more fidelity maybe, but still some cars handle like freaking boats (M2 CS) and the Radical pulls off four-wheel slides, when it’s supposed to be a high aero car

I've clipped the inside kerb on the entry to Schwalbenschwanz at Nordschleife in a Mercedes AMG GT3 (RSS) at 240km/h. In no other sim I would manage to save the car, but I pulled it off in AC. Nuff said. AC >> ACC, iRacing, rF2, AMS2

What they've got to compare is their real life GT3 cars, I thought that was the obvious point of the statement. I've asked two drivers directly. One was Italian GT Championship driver and one was British GT3 Driver. Both were asked in last 18 months. The Italian driver gave a detailed response and said that they test in a custom version of AC and it produces the closest comparable times/results to real car on track.

Sorry to say but unless there is an "one click" to setup CM with CSP and Pure, this will not gain any serious traction. It will remain a niche corner and not get wide spread. Too many moving parts in order to match versions with CM/CSP/Pure. This will fail hard if there is no smooth/easy way to install and update all these packages. We are here to race sim and not spend hours reading docs and configuring applications. I do that stuff at work as a Linux admin. At home I want to chill the f#$k out.

Nah, laggy UI and super inconsistent cars. The Tatuus is the only reasonable one in the rookie series. M2 CS handles like a tuktuk with bent frame, and the Radical like a wooden plank on 15 year old winter tires
