I have so much love for Lange as a company and a manufacture. I only wish they made some of their more complicated pieces in non-precious metal cases and, as a result, slightly more affordable so I’d be able to buy something truly exceptional from them. But that’s just wishful thinking. Great video!

Audemars Piguet i think the price wont reduce significantly since most of the value are in the movement complexity and perfect hand finishing.

@@Calvinbui09 While that is true, it is well known that any watch in precious metal brings with it an obnoxiously high price premium over non precious metals such as steel, so by sticking to precious metals, brands such as A. Lange. & Söhne and Patek Philippe with most of their lines bar the sports watches (Nautilus and Aquanaut) are almost exclusively in precious metals as that sort of justifies the extremely high price points for those timepieces. I do not believe, like some watch manufacturers sometimes say, that using exclusively precious metals in their watches is to keep in line with the “prestige” of the brand, as these days, case materials do not necessarily define whether watches are prestigious and sought after or not, as exemplified by the steel sports watch craze of nowadays.

Lange is still suffering on the thickness of most of their watches. Though the Zeitwerk might be justified.
