There's nothing short notice about what they do. They were ready for the funeral at her coronation in 1953 and have been ready every year since then. Look, the various ceremonial officers and solider that surround the monarchy do not have the most expensive list of job duties. Being ready for any royal event is at the top of that short list
@waynewayne96932 жыл бұрын
“London Bridge is Down” was planned in the early 60’s. She literally helped them plan it and revise it through the years. The BBC literally has lights in studio specifically to notify of the death of royal members and anchors are required to keep dark suits and ties with them just in case a royal dies so they switch into them. The new outlets even have pre recorded videos kept up to date to play in honor of a royal passing. The military palace guards literally march and practice quarterly. The queens own coffin was made back in the 60’s. Every aspect of this has been planned down to the minute. I as a American know this so it baffles me you didn’t.

The 2 Queen Elizabeth are the one who just died, and the one who lived 500 years ago Elizabth I. She was the daughter of Henry VIII and survived some very turbulent times. At the first sound of the trumpets, you already know that a Queen is coming out. Even in death, the regality of QEII was never diminished. The accompanying tolling of Big Ben & the gun salute from Hyde Park during the whole procession only added to the aura of power that even in death the soft power of the throne exuded for all the world to see. A fitting tribute to the end of an era and of a reign of a beloved Queen. This procession and the march that the bands played has never failed to amaze me, even 2 years after QEII's death.

I don’t know if it’s only an English thing, but I am totally impressed by the timing, choreographed steps that are all made in unison. I’m only commenting cause in tv shows/movies these type of processions they aren’t marching in unison. Interesting details
