Interesting, thanks! I’m looking forward to the video about the challenges of living in France as a foreigner!

I never imagined that a student visa could be used to justify simply learning French in France, and those prices are so low to the American eye! As I contemplate retirement in less than 10 years, this sounds like a wonderful and cost-effective way to both enjoy a country I love and actually buckle down and learn the language. Thanks, Suzi!

My ancesters were all from France " Fille du Roi". I am French Canadian . The one side for me to move to France is, you have tor work about 25 years, to be able to receive retirement money from France. So this is a big one. Since they had cut in half the money that the elderly were receiving every month, another strike against to country. Than you have the immigrant.

Can you please clarify one minor detail: What is the income tax of a gross annual salary below 70k eur ?

Well, I’m definitely not a tax expert and there are many variables that impact your income tax bill, but I saw a table that looked realistic to me here: taxsummaries.pwc.com/france/individual/taxes-on-personal-income (granted it’s a few years old…) Hope that helps 😊
