My appointment at the French embassy to get my visa was possibly the most stressful interaction with bureaucracy I've yet encountered. The appointment time had to be made several months in advance, and I had to arrive at a very particular time (although they were running behind). Every paper had to be copied, signed, & witnessed by a police officer prior to arrival. Each page handed over in exactly the correct order. Somehow I managed to be granted the visa successfully, the poor lad next to me however was denied because it appeared he would be travelling through Italy 1 day longer than in France! Oh and after 3 months in France (despite already being granted the 12 month visa) I had to attend a medical check, including chest x-ray to check for tuberculosis. Failing the medical check would result in immediate revokal of my visa. So I do say, Foil and Hog look surprisingly relaxed doing this interview XD

Hi guys, I'm French and that was hilarious! Protesting is absolutly our national sport! I met my wife while protesting in 2010, we were in the same union! The lunch joke is less and less true with our crazy work rythm in towns, but still very true for some countrysides and big holidays feasts. That joke on second-hand smoke is so true! So spot on! Rude Parisians is a cliché... For a good reason! I'm from Paris and I'm a complete asshole: that joke is 100% accurate. The "Statue of Liberty" joke needs a bit of historical context: it's a french statue given to the USA in 1886. And the USA gave the original flame back to Paris, it's exposed near Pont de l'Alma, over the Seine, and since poor Lady Diana died under that bridge, a lot of people are using the flame as a monument, depositing flowers here. André the Giant is a very nice touch, that guy was such a wonderful human being: as you wish! Thierry Henry is a nice football joke. Daft Punk is our most popular band, nice (French) touch. The Renault 5 joke is a bit old, but still funny. BIC shaving razor... You like to poke where it hurst, don't you? That line of defense (ligne Maginaut) is such a joke, I don't see it in history manuals nowadays... We're not proud of it. The joke on Marine Lepen is spot on (subtitles translated by "Marion Lepen" which is fun, because Marion is actually her true name, Marine is just an alias she took years ago). Have a nice day, guys, I must buy some goat cheese for my wife before I visit my neighbour's spouse!
