The diagrams were very helpful in explaining what each part does when stock and after a lift is installed. This is the best explanation I have seen on this topic, great job.

This is the stuff that I figured but have no real clue about. When I first started on my XJ I knew there was too much to mess with so I went with new leafs and shocks. Stayed stock and it was like getting a lift anyways because of how saggy it was! This is great information you have provided with simple to understand graphics! Much appreciated!

Thank you for posting this information. I feel very much more informed. I am currently swapping a lift from a donor XJ to my drivable XJ. The information you provided will indeed help me with my build. I am not building a rock crawler. It is mainly for camping, overlanding on light to moderate trails. I am putting money, blood sweat and tears into my XJ and don't want to have it break out on trails, costing more money. I am a disabled veteran with very limited resources. Again thank you for the info. New subscriber and will be watch your other videos.

Excellent ! a good rule of thumb is to add 1/2 degree of caster for every 1" of lift and sway bar disconnects will add articulation AND save wear and tare on the sway-bar bushings

Thank you! What a lot of people don't realize is that unless you have an adjustable drag link/track bar, you will have to re drill the track bar hole to put it back in, which is not recommended because 9 times out of 10 people don't know what they are doing and it will ruin the suspension and give you death wobble, even if the track bar hole is wallowed out, clayton offroad sells a good extendo track bar that upgrades the bolt size to a 9/16.

This video was exactly what I was looking for and exceeded my expectations at the same time. I was trying to verify what a proper lift kit should look like/include as I'm planning to build my wifes JKU Sahara.

For folks lifting 4" and above, remember to look into OTK (over the knuckle) steering. If you're just starting out it's easy to think when you buy a lift kit that it will have everything you need, but this often ain't so unfortunately

I prelifted my track and drag link flip to keep geometry parallel and get it out of the way of logs and rocks. And prepared for 4" plus lift. I'm at 3.5

Hi there. Your video is great. I'm planning to lift my Wj just 2", I'm not planning to go off road trip, in fact, I would like to buy an RC 2" just to get a little bit high. My question is, do I have to be worry about everything that you explained in your video? Thank for your help.

95 ZJ 3.5 inch lift RC upper lower adjustable control arm's front rear. RC adjustable track bars. Skyjacker 3inch coil springs front rear. Bilstein 5100 shocks. Moog ball joints. Currie hd y style steering. Fox steering stabilizer. Power stop rotors, pads, calibers. 249 tcase new tom woods double cardan front and back drive shafts. Drives good still has a little bump steer and thought these tom woods shafts would get rid of drive shafts vibrations i get over 70 not bad as when i was stock. I am still in need of adjustments. Tires are cooper discovery atx XLT 31's 31/10.50/15 on stock rims 1.5 Supreme wheel spacers.

Good info Ronnie. Both tires in front are wearing badly on the outside of them. What could be the cause and what to look for? Thx much.

Question: I have a stock 2021 Willys came with 32” tires and I just threw on a set or 35x12.5 r17. Do I / should I get a small lift with adjustable components? The tires don’t rub. I did adjust the steering to fix the steering wheel.

Great information Ronnie when and if I plan on raising my 93 Jeep GC. Just curious, mine need certain parts for it as I'm keeping it stock for now. "Where" can I go to get good quality suspension parts for mine? Like ball joints, tie rod ends, stabilizer links etc...? Thx so much for your time and input.

I'd just run it stock for winter traction and 4300 lbs tow rating. I don't need to go climbing over rocks

Your saying to replace lower control arms to set caster? From all I've read your suppose to replace the upper to adjust caster. From my research, if you replace the lower, you're pushing the axel out further, which would require longer drive shafts. Can you elaborate maybe my research is inaccurate.

How do check your castor angle? Have no garage in my area that does alignment on vehicles lifted more than 2/3 inches. You made videos? Can you provide links in reply to this comment, please. Respectfully
