Dude, you are a mad man with that slow motion bounce test of the mounts. The things that come from your head might just cure cancer one day. Good job.

Are the hydraulic mounts still good?

How hard was it to change these engine mounts out? Did you use an engine hoist or just jack up the engine from the bottom?

It's about medium, my engine mounts on my 95 ranger had long studs on the mounts so I had to remove frame to mount brackets to undo bottom nut, but my 96 ranger had short lower mount studs and I was able to remove the nuts with a swivel socket, it made the job much easier, and I used a jack with a 2x4 between the jack and the oil pan.

shoooot. Mines bouncing back and fourth bought some for $8ea while they were cheap with an exhaust gasket, bad idea maybe. Marmon Ride Control A2698HY . They do seem like they might be soft enough. Kind of look refurbished the way they are painted or just poorly painted hardware. I guess I don't mind a sporty vibration, maybe it will be what I'm looking for, I just want the engine to not be bouncing enough to embarrass me or damage old exhaust etc. Mines 93 has the square shaped intake with the weird hose from intake to exhaust shield, would be nice if it had AC like that one but don't particularly require it up here in WA atm.

I am much happier with softer engine mounts, sure don't miss sporty interior rattle along with the rest of the truck. There's a place for hard engine mounts, such as high hp vehicles with sticky tires or front/rear mounts on fwd cars.
