I have a friend who resides in Holland and travels a lot. When he visited the US the treatment he got there horrible even from the Chinese in the US who adopt the same culture of hated towards black people. He reluctantly visited China with a Chinese friend he said he had to pinched himself to make sure he was not dreaming, he was so overwhelmed with their friendliness and hospitality. He made his second last year and plans to go back this year, lol.

Unfortunately it is American culture. It is hard to break the viscous crime cycle for many American blacks. And most of the law enforcement probably served in the military. That is the way they were trained to use violence. If you are told to beat or kill someone, you just follow the order. When you see enough, you become insensitive. Of course somewhat you become even more racist since this is the way US ideology war work. Usually the blacks you meet outside America are much nicer including those in America whether they are from America or not.

Not able to use credit cards freely in China (as most vendors don’t accept credit cards) is a huge inconvenience for international travelers. Fortunately Alipay can facilitate credit cards with certain limits. Also, you can’t simply walk into any hotel and expect to be admitted. I’ve lived in China 6 years. I have friends who’ve lived here for 20/30 plus years and I’ve lived in the same home with my Chinese friends and even in a Chinese dormitory. China might not be perfect and it’s normal to have scenarios of danger just like every country in the world but at least, compared to what I’ve seen out of China, the danger is probably better.
