Thank you so much. As we live on the "East Coast" valuable information such as you have presented here, makes booking so much easier. Further research required, but what a starter.

Thanks for showing everyone our hideaway. Every year it's been getting busier and busier. Now it's going to get worse. 12 years of enjoying it. 😢

If you look up Winderabandi on KZbin you'll see there are many videos on the campsite way before our one. If it gives a few people that have come from the otherside of the country a chance to snag a decent site for a few days then that's worth it. The issue is people who book a site for a month and don't show up

I've been going there since I first found it in 1987, seen it all. Getting very difficult to book now between May and September, you need to be on that website, finger hovering, at 12.01am, to have a chance. Unless you want 44, no one wants 44. It took me six midnight runs this year to eventually get a site.

Very helpful video thank you. We from Qld and just starting to explore with our new 13ft van which does not have toilet, but if we have a portable toilet is that acceptable with the caretaker and for that matter any other WA beach camping areas?
@trippinaroundoz11 ай бұрын
Thanks Dan As long as you have a proper portable chemical toilet it's acceptable. There are dump points up there to be able to empty it

Perfect! Glad we could help :) I was the same when booking, it's so difficult. Some of the sites that look beachfront on the map you can't even see the water! Good luck 🤞

Great info! Would be helpful on a few of those Ningaloo and Waroora Station sites - the maps and booking details aren't great! We managed to jag site 8 and perfect weather at last year at Winderabandi - made it one of our favourite spots❤

Just wondering about the best access access? Is it via yarded creek? If so after what is the road conditions like and how long in time. Many thanks again dave
@trippinaroundoz10 ай бұрын
Hi David Yes Yardie Creek is the best access point for Winderabandi. It's about a 2 hour drive from Exmouth. The conditions are ok, let your tyres down and drive to conditions 😊

fantastic video guys! What time of the year were you here?we are planning a trip Perth-Exmouth end of February early March.Is this a busy time on the coast?

@@trippinaroundoz Do you think we will need to book campsites at the timen of year we are coming?
@trippinaroundoz6 ай бұрын
When we were there a handful of sites were left however the good ones were all booked. I would recommend booking in advance if you can. But if your not picky you can book as you get closer. The sites do need to be booked before you arrive though.

I have just watched your vid a few times, made notes on desirable sites. Set my alarm clock for midnight and jagged the only site available yay!! But it’s one that isn’t in your list. Do you know if 25 has ocean views? The map really doesn’t give much info.
@trippinaroundozАй бұрын
I don't have 25 in my notes as someone was camped on it when we were there sorry! But sites 26-30 I have written down as beach sites so I think it will be an ok site 🤞

Did you access winda from north or south-thr turn off 15km north of coral bay? Need feedback on getting a 19ft van thru on that track

We went from Exmouth via yardie Creek on the way in but when we left we went straight down to coral bay via that track

Heads up, DBCA are only allowing two registered vehicles per site (one vehicle and one trailer). So whatever you have on your electrinic booking is what you are allowed on your site. Too many people ruining the dune vegetation.
@trippinaroundoz9 ай бұрын
We only had 1 car and 1 van per site. We parked up together on the biggest of the 2 sites we had booked (with the caretakers approval).
