I agree with you about your money being spread very thin on this watch. I use to have one myself, before I started my channel though. Mine didn't have the movement issue though, from what I remember. It did however have sharp unfinished bits on the inside of the rivets on the strap though. I had to file them down and smooth them out.

I went with the Addiesdive Flieger, didn't need another big watch after the Willard BUT I was hooked on the good lume&WR. I'm pretty happy with it. Finishing is basic but competent (except for the lug area, but that's covered anyway) and the strap is an afterthought, but apart from that it's what I wanted. It's really slim and light for a watch with an NH35 and a significant WR.

I'm really considering the Addiesdive Flieger on the engineer bracelet (I've sold my San Martin flieger). Also am going to feature it on my AliExpress anniversary sale video 😊

@@MyAffordableWatchCollection Don't expect too much from the bracelet. Addiesdive is like Steeldive in that regard, it's always just passable. I recommend black or green nylon, canvas or leather straps.

Escapement Time makes another lovely flieger - there are a number of reviews out there on it. If I were to get one that is the one I'd go with. That said I have two Steeldives (bronze fifty fathoms and Captn. Willard homages) and an Addiesdive (Blue Tuna) on the way from this last sale so I recognize the value there. However I had bought a German type B flieger a while back (Aristo 3h80 with Swiss Ronda Quartz movement) - so not in the market right now. If I do get another it will likely be a German or Swiss from an original manufacturer - probably Laco.

I would buy it. As a every day beater watch. And I would customise it anyway: plastic movement support. Get a pro tom lume it with LUMIBRITE or superluminova. It is the movement that caught me. Love it. I can forgive Corgeut for providing a basic watch.

Funny how 44mm is now considered oversized when back in WW2 fliegers are like 50-55mm. It's like wearing a clock on your wrist.

That's a different variation of the same watch, sometimes you just run out of luck and get a dud, like I did... That's what happens when there's no quality control... I'm glad you're enjoying yours!

I own one with the brass finish and one with a skeleton movement and they are fantastic except for the poor lume The finish is much better than yours and the are both running +3 to +5 seconds per day I’m sorry you got a dud, from my experience they are better than that. Hello from Calgary

Corgeut makes some nice pieces but unfortunately they are often out QC and finished by others in a similar price bracket. I do however own two which I am happy with; Railmaster homage and the Aqua Terra homage.

Actually the movement is great and can be set to 1 sec per day plus or minus. buy a good case and build it yourself.

Ouch on the last bit - that's not a 3ATM watch (which you can take swimming - or at least I do with my genuinely 3ATM wr watches (Omega Speedmaster/Bulgari Octo Finissimo)) but the problem is that for some manufacturers their "3ATM" watches are effectively 0ATM watches...

I had one of these in orange and black, the first one I accidentally damaged the hairspring trying to regulate it, the second one the hand winding was so awful and gritty I eventually dumped it. Not a fan of Corgeut.

Corgeut's problem is their QC - it's really hit & miss. I have two of their watches and both seem nicely assembled, but I hear not everyone has such luck. I have their homage to IWC Big pilot (with two balance wheels and moon phase) and the other is an Omega Aquaterra Chronometer

I have this watch and the movement on mine is very secure and the finish is good. The Lum is a bit weak and as are most pilot watches the water resistance is minimal. Check out my review on Pilot watches on my KZbin channel “ The Watch Monkey “
