The power is way enough yeah, and i wasn't really fan of the look, but now i just love it every day i look at it ! I had an akrapovich exhaust, which was anoying with saddle bag (upper position), i so i removed it. And now i'm just with the stock exhaust and the sound is really nice even without aftermarket exhaust ! Simply the best midle weight naked bike !

Went on a 1300 mile road trip with my 18' Striple RS two weeks ago. AL, TN, NC, and N/GA. Mostly back roads and the occasional jaunt down the interstate. The bike is l weapon on the twistys but still is compliant enough to eat up miles. I bought the bike used from a private seller back in Aug of 20' with 1100 miles on the clock. The bike now has over 8,000 and has performed without any issues. It is way better bike than the rider :) Great review as always. Ride safe!!

I only recently bought my Street Triple RS and the only two problems I have with it are the buzzy mirrors (at anything over 80 kmph) and the small steering lock which can cause issues on roads that aren't very wide. I'll probably get the CRG Arrow bar-end mirrors some time soon to replace the stock mirrors as I've heard great things about them. I don't particularly have any issues with the missing Cruise Control and Heated grips. I got the latter fitted through the dealer and the former is a non-issue for me as the roads in my country aren't good enough for Cruise Control on bikes.
@ribalderr60522 жыл бұрын
cruise control solved. Cramp Buster, $9.99. get the shorter fatter one hits palm right at the bottom. once set correctly, its sublime, an u wont even know its there. Tip: put first two fingers top of brake, this rests palm on Cramp Buster in a natural relaxed state. u can relax that grip. SUBlime. I lov an therefore guarantee it from mine.

This bike is in SUCH a beautiful sweet spot. Even i eye the speed triple and the tuono 1100 factory tbh but every time I get on my RS I just can't stop giggling, often thinking "if I was on the tuono, I'd probably be dead haha". And the weight is DEFINITELY amazing. On days when I'm tired and not at 100% it has saved me from making silly mistakes often. Love the RS. I do believe on your bike, the max gearing change you can do without throwing the TC nuts is going up 2 teeth in the rear. I highly recommend it. On my 2019, I went down 1 tooth in the front and the bike is RIOTOUS haha. Ah man. Triumph outdid themselves with this bike.

@Erik Butler I believe Triumph is like Porsche of the 2 wheel world and Ducati is like Ferrari.. If Porsche comes out with a vehicle, it will be dripping with technology AND if its not standard, it will certainly be an option... If Triumph wants to be a premium manufacturer of bikes and are gonna charge good $$$ then add it as standard OR make CC an option. Its OK if the baby Trident is watered down but not Striple.

This is a great review. One point of feedback: Talk about the maintenance and upkeep costs. I almost bought a Triumph Street Triple and then I saw that they need a valve service every 10K miles. And the local Triumph dealer wants nearly $1000 for that. That really turned me off. I'm still tempted as it does look like a really awesome bike. Also, basic services cost $200+? To me seems like a around the town bike I am currently on a ride weekend and it's brutal. This is not a kind distance bike. Better than a crotch rocket for sure for comfort but it's not far behind

Sorry but I do not agree with this kind of video... I do not like it definitely. What is it? Is it a test ride? No it s not, because testing this bike just on straightful roads is ridiculous. Is it a walk around a discussion on this model? Maybe, but so you d better to show the model while esplaining your thoughts. To see a pov of this bike just on highways is really boring and make people think you have not understood at all the aim and the meaning of such a beatifull sportbike.

Triumph needs to update the Street Triple, hopefully losing the throne to the 890R will be what it takes. For the road, the KTM blows it out of the water, better torque delivery, the best brakes on any middleweight make. The only thing the Triumph has is more top end, a outdated Techpack and dated design. Triumph will do something different soon.
@SquireSCA3 жыл бұрын
Losing the throne in what way? The 890R is a great bike, but I almost never see one on the street. I see Street Triple 765's all over the place. More peak power, amazing handling, good sound...
@freebehindbars86543 жыл бұрын
@@SquireSCA Just every major review. Can you give one comparison where the Street Triple has been chosen over the 890R? I can give you several where the KTM is overwhelming picked. These reviews come from professionals that do not own a Street Triple and compare the two, they don’t have a dog in the fight.
@freebehindbars86543 жыл бұрын
@@SquireSCA And when you ride both, you’ll understand why. I enjoyed my Triumph, love this KTM. The fit and finish on the Triumph was more premium, it’s at a loss when you get on them and have that experience. The torque is on another level. That peak power, that can only be reached after it’s being gapped by the KTM, needs you to reach go to jail speeds before being relative. Neither are a wrong choice, but you should really ride both before having an opinion.
@p.chakraborty44533 жыл бұрын
@@freebehindbars8654 triumph has way better build quality , and the tech is pretty similar on the same, the triple has torque everywhere *and* the most awesome top end of the few, the duke has *numbing torque* but not a good top end , and the 890 is a awesome choice too, and handling wise, the super scalpel flicks really well, but the street triple holds the line, and is more frugal and usable everywhere, racetrack, traffic, everywhere, and the str has better quality suspension, better brakes, better quickshifter too , as far as what i rode.. Ngl, tech wise, duke is slightly better, and duke is more lighter too.
@SquireSCA3 жыл бұрын
@@freebehindbars8654 at this point I kind of consider myself a naked bike aficionado... If I just count my bikes and not my wife's... Monster s2r1000, Monster S4RS, Monster 1200S, Street fighter 1098, super duke 990R, Tuono 1000R Factory, Tuono V4 1100rr, two speed triples, street triple RS, Z900 RS, FZ1 and some others I am likely forgetting... Plus my wife's monsters, Street fighter 848, street triple r 675, street triple RS 765, Diavel, etc... Of all of those, and they were all brilliant... Of the middleweights, the 2020 Street RS is the most capable on street and track. The agility and power is pretty much perfect. It's a scalpel on track. It also makes a lot more power than triumph claims. They say 123hp at the crank and that's bs. Most dyno 117-119hp at the wheel, stock. That puts the crank hp up in the 130's. Mine with a decat, slipon and tune makes 125hp at the wheel, and I have friends with full exhausts and tunes and they are hitting 130hp at the wheel. That's a significant step up from the Duke. The Duke of course has way more low down grunt, being a twin... And in some ways that will feel faster. But give them room to stretch their legs and the Street pulls ahead. . The brakes, are the difference in pads they ship with. The triumph has brembo M50 and the master is the same one that comes on the Ducati panigale R. It's a great setup... Not knocking the Duke, but crowning it king, might be a bit of a stretch...
