I own that Pagani and I've to say, even the case has a pretty solid build. It's a 3 piece case that consists of a top ring that holds the dial, the case itself, amd of course, the back. It does take a fair amount of force to open that case and some skill to do it without scratching neither the dial nor the case, and speaking of the dial, it has a velvety finish to it, that doesn't convey over camera neither behind the glass. I'd go as far as to say, it's a serviceable watch, rather than some disposable cheapo. One of my favorites.

Shortly after getting my first swiss made watch, I ordered 3 Pagani Design watches and they really do fill out the collection quite well considering their price. It allows the everyday man to have a nice collection of mechanical watches without blowing the budget.

Honestly, for the prices Pagani is asking, it would be better to just take a chance on a vintage piece. They're generally better made and, even if they require a servicing, are generally less expensive than Pagani's stuff.

@@Alias_Anybody The watchmaker that has a shop about five blocks from my house services pretty much anything for $75, assuming its not a particularly prominent piece (Rolex, Omega, etc.). If a part is damaged or unusable, obviously the price goes up. I'd imagine it would be the about the same for whatever other independent watchmakers still exist in the U.S. So yeah, it would be better to take a chance on a vintage piece instead of one of these crap piles for my money.

I nearly bought a Vincero watch before I watched this. Got myself 2 Pagani watches for the price of a single Vincero. I got that Pagani in black plus one that looks identical to a Tag Hauer Aquaracer, a watch I've wanted for a long time so thank you for the recommendation. If I saw a Vincero cheap though I'd probably still buy it as I do like some of their designs, but they're overpriced

I own this watch in rose gold case, same silvery white dial, and I love it, as you said it feels sturdy and well manufactured. About the 30m water resistance, I don't think a dress watch really need any more than that, heck, there are some Patek Philip watches with the same rating. 😀. They make a great variety of watches, you might look at their shop on Aliexpress. Make sure to read the listing carefully to get what you want, they have various features like various nice movements and sapphire glass, but they also make watches that are kinda boring.

Have you looked at the Benyar chronograph? I got one last month for £15 and could not believe the value especially as it has a 100ths of a second dial. The quality isn't the best, I wasn't expecting it to be, but has a decent quality strap......and it was £15!!!! Well worth a review!

I recently paid $135 for a watch with Seiko automatic movement, sapphire glass, and bronze case. I can easily find a watch with a Miyota automatic movement, steel case with steel bracelet, and sapphire glass, for $80. My point here is that we're both probably buying a brand name, once you get to the "below $200" price you can usually find great stuff if you shop enough, the point of the watch reviewed is that it's a great value for the money, not the best watch in the world. Yeah, Orient makes some *great* watches. $150 is still a lot of money for someone in the market for a $30 quartz watch.

Pagani Design's watches have gotten better since they came onto the scene. Their Submariner homage watch is a ridiculous value: Seiko NH movement, ceramic bezel and sapphire glass. The only downside is that it's a little on the large side. The one being reviewed is a very good looking chrono for a great price.

I don't know if it's included in the current sale, but for a few bucks more, you can get this one on a metal bracelet. It's not the best bracelet in the world, but well worth the 5-7 USD markup I payed when I bought mine. I think I ended up paying 65-70 USD at the time.

I had a Vincero Bellwether model once, almost same price as chrono-s but with mecha-quartz movement as the Pagani Design. The quality was not impressive but not too bad either and certainly with a better strap than Pagani's. But the better value for money of the Pagani Design is undeniable.

I bought 2 of these Pagani Chrono about 6 months ago & agree with everything you’ve said! One in rose gold & the other in a silver with black dial. Great buys & a lot more expensive look than they were. QC was fantastic on one with the other stop watch hand slightly off centre. Yes some Chinese watches can be hit & miss, but nonetheless I am still impressed! Good review👍🏼😎

He just did a video about a Fossil watch, and completely trashed it. I've seen Fossil watches in person (on coworkers' wrists) that were quite nice (actually spurred me to take interest in watches), but they cost about 4 times the price of the one he reviewed. Either they make nice watches expensively and cheap watches cheaply and he just got one of the cheap ones, or they used to make nice watches and don't any more, I don't know which.

I wish I had read your review or watched this video before convincing my wife to buy me a Vincero Chroo S. This was our experience. The Chrono S watch in Rose Gold looks like a very smart watch. I am not qualified to comment on the engineering but I can say that it has only gained 3 seconds in the first month of use (compared with the atomic clock); which so far as I can research online is much better than most modern battery-operated quartz watches, though not as accurate as some Bulova, Seiko or Citizen, that may be more expensive and not as stylish. However, it has one major design fault. On every Vincero advertisement, the Chrono and all their other watches have the large sweeping hand that most people would take to be the “second hand”, at approximately 36 seconds past the hour. Any reasonable person looking at the advertisements would assume that this is a normal “second hand”. However, on the Chrono range (and possibly the Rogue) the large sweeping hand is NOT the “second hand”, it is the stop watch “second hand”. I have other chronographs where the timer “second hand” is one of the small dials (usually the bottom one) as you would expect since the hour and minute times hands are also small dials. What this means is that the large sweeping hand sits at the 12 o’clock position and anyone who admires your watch will think it’s stopped. It’s also quite disconcerting not to see the “second hand” moving. Sure, the small “second hand” does move but it’s barely noticeable in every day use. To me this completely ruins the overall appeal of the watch. We found the Vincero service to be extremely arrogant, condescending and at times a downright insult to your intelligence. None of their emails are ever signed unless you insist on getting a name. The agents in California refused to pass any email to the owners in China. My wife ordered the watch as a significant birthday gift on 26 April 2020. At that time there was no indication on the web site that they provided a custom engraving service; so, I made the suggestion. Rather than thanking me, the response was that they do normally offer an engraving service but that it was suspended due to “coronavirus quarantining”, which is fair enough. However, I responded “If there had been a note on your web site that you have an engraving service, which is temporarily suspended, I would definitely NOT have placed the order, as it was already past my birthday and would happily have waited until you were able to resume this service, which must be imminent”. Obviously, they didn’t want to advertise the fact that they had temporarily suspended the engraving service, in case people like me would withhold their orders. The reply was that “Since your package has been shipped already, here's what we can do. Once it arrives, please refuse the delivery so that it will be sent back to us. Once we received it back (sic) we will let you know, and then we can wait until we open the custom engraving again.” So, they wanted to let the package make the journey from California to Glasgow, Scotland and then return; how stupid can you get. Miraculously, however, on 27 April 2020, they were “able to get a swift response from (their) fulfilment center and they were able to cancel the shipment of (my) package. As requested, we have canceled (sic) your order and processed a refund back to your account. Please allow for at least 3 to 5 business days for it to reflect on your bank. However, my wife didn’t receive the refund until 25 May 2020 and then only after sending a reminder to which the reply was “We are sorry about that. It looks like the refund didn't push through. I went ahead and reprocessed it. It should be reflected in your account soon.” It then appeared the same day, which gives the lie to the original statement about 3-5 business days. On May 13 2020, I emailed to say that “Although you have not notified me as promised it would appear from your web site that you are now offering engraving again and they replied the same day “We are sorry to hear that you are (sic) not notified of this. It looks like we are gradually taking the engraving back on our site and it is only available in some watches at this moment.”; which is another way of saying they forgot or couldn’t care less. My wife re-ordered the watch the following day but a week later had not received any dispatch or tracking information. The response was “I am very sorry that you did not receive your tracking information and I am more than happy to look into this for you. ….. maybe it was blocked by your spam filter?” which it wasn’t, in other words it wasn’t sent at all. The delivery was a complete farce. Nothing happened from 17:58 on Friday, 15 May, when it was given release by Customs, until 19:06 on Thursday 21 May when it departed San Diego for Los Angeles Gateway. In response to my wife’s enquiry they said: “There may be a delay in the update of your tracking info as in most cases, the package just missed a scan and will update at the next checkpoint. Please be informed as well that delays are a possibility as some couriers are not working at full capacity due to the Covid-19 Pandemic”. This was nonsensical because there were no delays at any other stage of the journey. No sensible explanation was ever received for the fact that “the package did not move for 6 days nor why it took 12 days from receipt of order to the scheduled delivery when the normal time for Express Courier packages from the US to the UK is 2 days.” All told the package passed through 6 hubs before delivery on 26 May 2020. This is not “express delivery”. It is also worth noting that Vincero watches are constantly on an alleged 15% sale, with a countdown clock purporting to show that you only have a few hours or minutes to complete your purchase at the sale price. I don’t know about the US but this is a breach of the Advertising Standards Code in the UK. Once you register, you will receive email advertisements every day, though you can unsubscribe, I haven’t found a way to stop the watches literally popping out at me every time I am on the internet. You should also watch out for “sponsored posts and ‘review’ videos that have been paid for by the brand, making them inherently biased and untrustworthy”. Overall, Vincero is an interesting story, the watches are stylish and to the initiated look reasonably priced but you should be aware of the “second hand” issue with the popular Chrono series and the appalling, condescending service before deciding to buy. If the watch had not been engraved, we would have returned it because of the “second hand” issue.

Sorry about your experience - but the second hand really shouldn't be an issue. When a quartz watch has a sweeping seconds hand for the chrono it means that it's a meca-quartz. It's actually a mechanical chronograph built onto the quartz movement (and probably a Seiko of that) and most watch guys will recognize it rather cool. The idea is that you get higher precision on the chrono than what you can get on a normal quartz chrono with analog dials and it's quite sophisticated. If you don't want your watch to look "stopped" you can always just start the chrono. I own two meca-quartz' myself and quite enjoy them.

Can you do a 1 year review once you wear it for a year I would be interested to see how it lasts. I wouldn't buy it at any price it looks cheap and horrible to me, but we all have different tastes. Can't get the mest band to adjust or to get it back toether. The instant if figured out how it cam apart, come apart, it did. Pieces flew everywhere. None of the three of us could get it to go back together. It is crap. I have several mess watchbands, and the others all make sense and can be fitted and fastened. This one? There is no way to get it back togehter and preserve the fit that looked like it would work. We can't get it back together at all. It's junk in a drawer. A shame.

Wow! Definitely a top tier budget watch! For $40, you get an awesome mecha-quartz chrono. My Dan Henry 1964 has a similar movement and it is top notch.

I watched several 'Before you buy a Vincero' videos, since I was considering purchasing one... None of the recommendations were relevant to my wants - the closest was the Timex Weekender, but even that wasn't quite right for me. This is the first watch I actually prefer, at a fraction of the price. Great video, you changed my mind 👍

Pagani design makes good watches I daily a submariner homage from them. Sapphire glass, seiko nh35, solid end links, ceramic bezel insert only cost $75. Amazing value I beat it up so my nice way he's can stay nice.

The price you showed for the movement was probably for 1 where as the company making the watches buy 100's or 1000's. Sure they get them for less than half the price.

I own a Timex that looks and wears better than the Vincero. Better off getting a Seiko or an Orient for the price point. Seriously tacky and visually unappealing.

Before you splurge for an eco-drive watch, look at them on ebay. They go pretty cheap on ebay, particularly if you don't mind something like "there's a scratch on the glass" or "I'll have to put a missing pin in the bracelet". Sometimes a great slightly older model that was $250 new will go for $50 with no visible flaws. (I'm thinking of one with sapphire glass. I got it for $30. Works great!) If you're willing to spend a little more (like $50) you can get one made of titanium. (Will probably do that sometime when I feel like spending the money.) I decided I would like an eco-drive watch. (I usually get mechanical watches, but I wanted something for travel that I could let TSA have their way with) I now have three (casual, formal, and a daily use beater), and will buy a fourth when the right one comes along. (I'm looking for a chronograph, maybe one with radio time setting.) All three, together, cost me less than what I was prepared to spend for one new, and that'll still be true when I buy the fourth. Just check the conditition and size before you buy. I've avoided the "for parts" watches, but I bought one that looked nice... and what arrived was itty bitty. The hand shown with it in the photos must be quite small, it's a womens' watch. (Very pretty though, and I got it cheap, I've saved it to give to a friend when I next see her.)
