My left side broke after the right side had been fix. Where can I get the bolts and rivet or do you have a part number for that kit?

Ever Amador. Sorry for the delayed response. Please feel free to send any questions to [e-mail] as that email is monitored everyday. We used a M8x1.25 AR Series Threaded Insert with matching M8x1.25 bolts that are approximately 1.5 inches in length. Make sure you use coated bolts and inserts as the brackets are made from aluminum and you don't want to get cross contamination. Hope this was helpful.

The dealer won't sell them. You buy online or at a grainger store.

When you updated the brackets to the bolt kit, did you wait 24 hrs before reinstalling the hood or were the bolts strong enough to hold everything in place while the adhesive cured?

We usually give about 4 hours for the glue to set up. The bolts are strong enough to hold them in place while you install the hood but don't put it on the road till the glue cures.

The price will vary depending on if the bracket broke or just came unglued. Expect a cost around $750 - $1000 if broken and I would always recommend fixing both sides.

You likely have a bent pivot bar, or it may just need to be adjusted. Loosen the 2 nuts in the center of the pivot bar bracket and shut the hood. If it's an alignment issue, then it should shift into place and then tighten those nuts back down.

Did you mean Glue? If so, it was 3M IRSA glue. Stands for "impact resistant structural adhesive". You can buy it at any automotive paint supply company and will need an applicator gun as well.

In the process of prepping the hood to finish the job myself just don’t know what type of “rivit kit” or metal thread inserts to use ? What should I get ?

You'll need to use a M8x1.0 steel threaded insert and bolts that match. They can be found at most hardware stores or specialty fastener stores.

@@johnkeith1599 can you please copy and paste a link of an example there are so many different kinds of inserts ? They really didn’t show a good example of what they used in the video so it’s hard for me to match them up . I know he said the “rivet kit they use on the 2015 cascadias” but I can’t really find a “kit” that they use !
