Loooooooved it! I had given up on trying to teach abroad but y’all got me going back to the drawing board!! I already have savings too....I would love to hear more about the actual teaching though. Like I have heard that IEPs/BIPs/504s are non existent over there, both for my students and my own children, and that I would need to bring my own resources/supports. Is this true overall or does it depend on the school/area? Also is it expensive/feasible to ship supplies/clothes from home or just buy everything there? These videos have reenergized me y’all! 💁🏾♀️
@EvanEdu4 жыл бұрын
Hi, what you've heard is correct. The SEND departments need alot of help. It is pricey to ship your things over and it usually takes more time that originally expected.

This was so helpful and is making me further want to do this❤️ how do people there feel about tattoos ?
@EvanEdu3 жыл бұрын
A lot of teachers have tattoos. Most schools just ask that you have them covered by clothing. It’s not too strict in Dubai.

ALSO, are short term teaching positions available, like a year or two or is there a set required amount of time you have to spend?
@EvanEdu4 жыл бұрын
The contracts are usually two years, but some schools do offer 1 year.

Is the public transport great in dubai? Is it easy and cheap to own and operate a vehicle in Dubai?
@EvanEdu4 жыл бұрын
It’s fairly easy to rent a vehicle, which is what I do, but it’s not cheap. I’m not sure about the public transportation.

Most of us rent cars. I drive an MG. There are some black men, but most live in Abu Dhabi.
