It's great that you have a good heart, but you should ask to talk to her through Skype so you can ask her, how much money does she receive a month from you! If "Compassion International" don't let you Skype or Duo her, then you know Compassion International is keeping most of the money you're sending, like 80% for them & 20% for the girl!!!

Yes many children know their sponsor's name. Sometimes they horribly mispronounce it, but they know it. I remember being with a child and we talked about her sponsor. When I mentioned her name, (I pronounced it like an American, since the Sponsor was from the USA), the child corrected me and told me how to pronounce it. It was funny..... But if the sponsor doesn't write, many times the children have no idea who their sponsor is or their name. So, it's vitally important to write the children. I always tell potential sponsors that whereas the sponsor looks at the sponsorship primarily as a financial responsibility (which is very important), the child almost always looks at it as a relationship..... Especially in these Latin countries, where relationship is SOOOOOOOOO important. It sounds like Raquel is the one interviewing the children. If I hear that correctly, these kids must be from Bolivia....
