Swweeeet ride. Very nice work. Love those classic cars. I grew up in a body shop and know how hard you worked to rebuild those panels...and the learning process you went through. Dad used to do that with brazing torch, before MIG was commonplace. You should be proud. And thanks for keeping that old iron rolling.

Thanks buddy it was a lot of work but well worth it I love how it came out ! I still have some small things to finish up yet like headliner, inner moldings and trunk seal. also still need to do some more cut and baffling. I ended up burning up the trans already so thats been out and I will be sending it in to get rebuilt here soon, once I get that back in i plan on doing a lot more videos of the car in action.

Sick build. Did you keep footage of the build step by step? This is a ride you roll out to SEMA and you'll have sponsors lining up to offer you free s... if you decided to start a new project. I would guess you have at least 2000 hours in her, is that a fair estimate?
@AllThingsCool5 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot man ! I do have more videos on my channel of the build, wasn't able to capture everything but tried to capture a lot of it. The build did take awhile 2000 hours would be close to the time it took to build it kinda of hard to tell when I was just out there in-between jobs and family stuff, any available moment I got I would use to get the car closer to finished. id love to build a older truck for another project. Its winter here in Michigan but I plan on posting more action shots of the car in summer of 2020. once again thanks for the comment seems like these days the car culture is getting smaller and smaller so its nice to hear from a fellow car guy !

I watched one of your other vids where you replaced the right rear quarter on your car. Did you have any issues with seeing the seam that you butt welded in after the paint was done? I've heard stories about seams being visible in certain lighting. I've got a '66 Impala SS that I have to replace the same panels on and just want to get your opinion on how it turned out for you.
