I always have a passion for sports in general and practice several, unfortunately American football was not one of them, since my native country is not a top Sport :/ Although, I've always seen something special in football and around 3y ago I started to dig more into the game basics. The mechanics to generate force us as Humans are always the same, hip rotation. I'm saying that bc I did some different martial arts and a bit of boxing and the mechanic of throwing a punch is the same as you throw a ball or hit a ball using your hands, it's so awesome to see different areas of physical activity being so close :D Well now that I'm "old" for any team, I'm on my path to help youngsters to become successful on their Sports journey as athletes! :D Nice videos and great explanations! Blessings :)

Can you break down Tom Brady's throwing stance this year? I've noticed he has a wider base and he seems to have his weight 50/50 on each leg. Is this bad?
@firstdowntraining2 жыл бұрын
Will do- appreciate the feedback man! I don’t think the 50/50 is bad I you can keep your weight back with your upper body on foot strike. Everyone is different and feels comfortable with different things

Always learning from you coach, thanks! Quick question you got any specific mouth guards you would recommend?
@firstdowntraining6 ай бұрын
I would get a boxing mouth guard that’s thin so you can talk. I personally never wore one, don’t do that. But I knew a QB who got a really thin boxing one

Hey I need help like I am rotating my hips and getting in the correct stance but no luck it just gets me worse can give me your experience with this so it can help me thx
@firstdowntraining Жыл бұрын
It’s tough for me to say honestly without seeing you throw. I think if you just focus on taking a shorter stride as well and having your hips rotate through separate from your shoulders, it can help. You can rotate all day long but if it’s not separate from your upper body you will not be able to generate torque

Well this was from a while ago- and i don’t think the mechanical analysis is unfair- you look at him at his pro day he fixed a bunch of these things. We actually made a video on that as well

What if you have your weight on your back leg the whole time
@firstdowntraining Жыл бұрын
Just have to make sure your hips fire through/ a lot of times guys stay back and throw but there is never a weight transfer so they essentially “throw off their back foot”
