I am sorry to say that your analysis is not rational in 158 the light is negligible further as prices are rising ₹1000 is not a big amount if one gets a watch according to one’s requirements as I prefer a watch with adequate light to see the time in darkness

A700 is very slim, just 6mm. Has a well integrated mesh strap, is better finished than these vintage pieces, has a bright backlight and critically, has a mineral crystal. It’s gonna age much more gracefully. It’s priced similar to A168 and the ₹1000 jump over A158 is easily justified by the mineral crystal. It’s a neo retro classic. I have it and I highly recommend it.

Paying 1k more just for the backlight is nonsense. It's thicker and has no single extra function. Also the build quality is same so better go with A158. Also it looks more subtle than the flashy colors of A168, that too the features highlighted.

Bhai don't follow hyped trend, i recommend buying the a168 W-a1wdf (Rs.2600) to those who r new to this world and don't wonna spend much so for those its a very good entry level watch. But as a collector you find your watch, you study about that watch and make a wise decision because at the end of the day the watch will represent you and your personality. Bahaut saare variants h A168 k to saare thodi na lene h, ek hi baar lo achaa wala lo.🤙

Mat lo bhai HMT. I bought a Kohinoor because of the hype, however, watch never used to maintain accuracy. These watches need to be regulated properly which nobody is good at due to which watch either used to run faster by a few minutes per day or slower. Go for casio, they would lose 5 to 6 seconds at Max in 30 days. I have a 217h and 5600 tough solar both are value for money.

There's barely any noticeable difference between both and like you said spending extra 1k would not make any sense considering the resin case. Also, I tried checking the light in pitch dark and it's able to do the job. To be honest 158 might look small but it's a legendary watch.

Spending 2.6k would not make any sense when you get the same features in 158 except the back light. There are other watches which are worth buying for 2.5k with more features like a 500, 291h and so on.
