One thing I find so sad about when they were saying goodbye , is that if you look at the Anger in Robins childrens faces. You know that Cody and Robin spoke very negatively in front of those children. The youngest child yelling at Christine was so inappropriate and telling. Cody and Robin are toxic.

The youngest child, Ari, also said a girl at school was mad at her, because she has a “man” and the other girl doesn’t. That sounded like it came straight out of Kody and/or Robyn’s mouth. Where else would this child have gotten that terminology? She hasn’t been around anyone, except them and the nanny, because of Covid and kody’s crazy rules. Most kids that age would have said “boyfriend”, not “man”.

It sounded like she was smothering the little girl and then she told them the girl was probably mad cuz she has a man and the other girl didn’t. It’s been during this season.

Robyn and Kody were not worried about Covid when Christine’s daughter, son-in-law and grandbaby came into town. They allowed all the kids to interact and hug, and they sat at the table for a good amount of time because they were filming talking about Christine and if she turned them against them. Robyn even kissed the baby. Covid was not why they didn’t hug them goodbye. It was just one further dig to Christine.

Watch Season 8 Episode 4 @ 17 minutes in (til about 20 minutes). Christine tells Robyn that she's hurt Robyn hired a babysitter & didn't ask her to watch Robyn's children, that she didn't trust her (Christine) with the kids. Robyn asks Christine, 'Are we really going to talk about that now?' Robyn tries to gaslight Christine claiming they all worked, but all the wives worked, even Christine, when she raised all the kids. You could see the hurt on Christine's face. Totally ignored. So tell me again how Christine never tried? Or treated Robyn like dirt from the beginning? There are other scenes where Christine went the extra mile to reach out to Robyn. Was Robyn really just waiting for the others to come to her?

More proof is the fact that after Christine and Kody were divorced, Christine included Robyn in her own biological child's birth. She shared her daughter with a woman who was no longer her sister wife. If she was truly what Kody and Robyn said, she would have kept that to herself. She would not have held Avalon up to the camera and allowed Robyn any part of the birth.

This. I think she's undergone a moment of transformation similar to Christine. Both of them tried and tried and then there was a moment when they took Kody at his word and finally believed him when he said there was no future for them. At that point, he loses most of his power over them and they gain an emotional distance that allows them to see things more clearly. (Meri just spent a lot longer in the purgatory phase than Christine.) The crazy thing in all of this is how surprised Kody is when it happens.

It is okay to have feelings about something, but it is not okay to demean and belittle a person you supposedly cared about or loved. Him claiming she doesn’t respect him is absurd. She (Christine) has shown nothing but respect and grace throughout this all. Even when she disagrees she does so respectfully. Meri has begun to do the same by what I gather from this interview. Two things: 1. I do think Christine was telling the truth about how hard that moment was and Kody’s anger. He has had blow ups before, but I don’t think it was ever like “that” where Robyn was present and he was attacking Christine because of how he felt she treated her 2. We have to remember at the last gathering, Kody wouldn’t let Robyn and her kids get near Christine or even hug Truely goodbye. In this family, I think they all don’t speak up and they just take his lead with everything. 20+ yrs of that, and it’s brainwashed into you. Robyn told her kids Christine wanted nothing to do with them, so the anger was palpable. But, to not even let the kids say goodbye to their siblings is disgusting. I’m not sure what else Christine could’ve done in that situation, honestly.

Don't you guys think Kody makes justifications LONG after the fact to make his own narrative look better during the interviews (which explains why his story wouldn't have made sense when it was happening)? And Robyn just seems to have the role of Kody's PR Manager at the forefront in every on camera opportunity- even when her input makes no sense. When she talks about her own needs in interviews, they seem to all have to do with being the victim of how she just wanted her family to work out. Like Kody, you can find so many clips of previous episode footage that shows their words do not align with reality.

So much of this Kody thing is triggering for me, but I am able to step back and see that it's not just that narcissists won't understand others feelings, it's that narcissists CAN'T understand others feelings. It feels like they're deliberately mean, but they don't have the capacity to even understand other people's feelings. Once I finally understood that, I was able to stop trying to please my narcissist ex-husband and his family. Took way too long, but it was a valuable lesson I've been able to share with others.

Christine didn't want to live with Meri again. She might have been willing to live with the others, but not Meri. Christine was still willing to stay with the family if they would all move back to Utah. The news that the others would not was when she decided she was done. Likewise, Janelle was willing to stay in the family as long as she could get her own house on Coyote Pass. When she took her house plans to show the others, Robyn let her know she would not be allowed to build, and that's when Janelle was done.

The kids know that they will not have to be effected. That the family and extended family will still be the same because their love for their kids does not change. Then he & Robyn cook up this blatant lie about Christine sabotaging their reconciliation?! Puhleeze! Dr Colarossi, I have an observation about Kody's behavior. Do you think it might be that Kody is starting to exhibit some signs of early onset Alzheimer's Disease? The reason I'm asking is that my father had Alzheimer's. When I was going through the diagnosing phase with the 13 (no, I'm not exaggerating) doctors/psychiatrist/geriatric behavioral psychologists; they all asked me if my father was suddenly accusing those closest to him of "disloyalty, disrespect and abuse of him". Until now, I thought it was just my Dad's personality and my Mom's ridiculous allowing of my father's crummy behavior over the years. However, in watching Kody (& his tantrums, outbursts & blatant disregard for anyone who doesn't agree with him 100%) this season, I see so much of my father! I wish I could go back to those psychologists to tell them that they were right. Kody's father had "mental health issues" and fought with Kody & his brothers in much the same way before he died. Both Kody's Mom, Genelle, and Janelle's Mom, Cheryl (an RN), said it. Do you believe it's possible Kody is exhibiting signs of early onset Alzheimer's Disease? Thank you! I think kody rewrites everything and it gets worse with more time. If you go back to early photos of kody with Meri, he was looking really in love with sparkling eyes. I think it got hard when Janelle came on because a young in love Meri intellectually believed they should do that but emotionally couldn’t deal. And then again with Christine who I think also was in love with Kody and that was harder for Meri to watch. Then they had a lot of years before Robyn came along and Meri had been through a lot by then and a relationship with Robyn was a way for her to have a connection with kody still. It’s all messed up. But I don’t believe his spin on how horrible it was since the honeymoon. Over the years we’ve seen him go to Meri and use her as his sounding board. That there was a real relationship of some sort there. Now he needs to make the women look bad so he can be the victim and have our sympathy.

I vent to my husband about SO many people that will never know. I think it’s healthy and normal. Not everything need to be confronted, sometimes just venting it out is enough to let it go. No reason to ruin the other persons day by bringing it up. (Obviously if it a a big or on going issue 100% needs to be addressed with the person). All in all though this family is horrifically and impressively bad at communicating all around.
