Bounty Hunter and One Man's Pleasure are two of my favorite tunes.

There's a live version on here somewhere. Small venue. They kill it! Also - two 'lead' guitars. You hear them alternate, then join in together.
@jessew1133 Жыл бұрын
It's actually 3 guitars and they were pioneers of that particular sound. Other bands played with 3 guitars usually one on rhythm and one on lead with the third guitar coming in either rhythm or lead to "beef" up the sound. MH actually took that concept further where all three guitars would take turns being the lead. That's why their guitar parts sound so amazing. You can really hear and see this in their live recordings. Top notch all around. Cheers 🍻

Hey Bizmatik, Col from Sydney. Hope your well. I was introduced to Molly Hatchet about 20 years ago. I thought to myself when a friend suggested the band to me, I don`t know dude, strange name for a band. But then I had a listen and liked them straight from the get go. I think if I remember right that they are from Jacksonville Florida. Great vocals, great guitars and a very tight sounding band. Funnily enough, they have 3 guitarist and use Peavey amplification just like Lynyrd Skynyrd. Must be a southern thing.

I had the pleasure of meeting lead singer Danny Joe Brown after a show and he was incredibly nice. Also grew up with his step-brother, Ken who gave me the white and red satin jacket Danny wore in the photo on the back of the "Flirtin' with Disaster" album. Great memories. Sadly, every member of that lineup has now passed. Thank you for introducing their music to a whole new generation.

Danny Joe Brown may not have been a founding member, but it's largely due to his unique voice that they really "hit it big". Not that they were bad before he came. Every member of this band was incredibly talented. It's just that during this time period every "big name band" had a high tenor lead then along comes Danny and doesn't just break the mold, he obliterated it. Sadly, we lost him due to his severe diabetes and complications from Hep C in '05. Now there's nobody left alive from the group these days and the world is a smaller place without them. May they all rest in peace
