Saw them live in Chicago in '76 and they were this good! Almost 50 years later & they're still on of my favorite bands. Doesn't get much better than E.L.O.

This song always brings a tear to my eyes. When my longtime gf passed I would call her phone to listen to her voice. I never cried so much in my life. I saw them perform this live in the late seventies. 2015 it took a whole new meaning!

Jeff’s backup band is amazing and everyone pulls their weight. You are right, the ambience and audience is there. The couples dancing and enjoying the night is icing on the cake. A few years ago, ELO toured and Jeff Flynn took George Harrison’s son (Dani Harrison) on tour as the opening act. Strong bond there.

That was a masterful performance and I actually preferred it to the original studio version. Jeff Lynne's forte for me has always been as a melodist and he's written some of the most beautiful songs with some of the most wonderful hooks. Like the great rock and roll melodists before him: Brian Wilson, Paul McCartney and John Lennon he delivers on every level. He's also a brilliant arranger and producer as well, the complete package!

My son and I saw Jeff Lynne and ELO live Tampa in 2019. We were dead center in the 13th row and I swear you couldn’t tell the difference from the studio versions of the songs he played that night. I saw them in concert twice. Late 70's in Kansas City for their "Out of the Blue" tour. Then the mid 80's in Denver for their "Time" concert. Fantastic performances, stage props and lighting display. Some of my fondest memories!

I was wondering if you listened to Sweet Talking Woman yet, that was my sister and I's favorite song because she didn't know the words and she'd try to sing the fast part and made me laugh. I'm 63 yrs old and I've seen Lynyrd Skynyrd, Chicago, Doobie Brothers, White Snack, Warrent, Bon Jovi and so many others. I told you about being physically abused as a child and when I was lock in the basement I would memorize every word to songs and sing while I was down there,there wasn't any light down there so music would take me where ever the song took me so I always say music saved my life.

Jeff Lynne is a music genius. He sounds just as good (if not better) live as he did on the studio versions. He was also in the super group 'The Travelling Wilburys' with George Harrison, Roy Orbison, Bob Dylan and Tom Petty.

Find the video of "Fire on High" ELO with the dancer with the veils on sticks. Stick with it through the scary backmasking(words played in reverse) intro. Your life won't change or anything but with repeated listening it will become your favorite ELO song. No words really to this but the chorus finally singing "Fire on high". Search "fire on high jaux"

I saw ELO. Funny... got a limo to take my girlfriend. We had an argument. I said f it, and was " partying " in the back of the limo, I'd catch the driver eyeing me in the mirror. I was pissed. Didn't care. Mind ya I was 18 ? Anyway, after jumping in the back, me and the driver saw em. Lol...
